Deadpool 2 is performing like an X-Men film now. Deadpool 3 has no chance of happening now. X-force is on shaky grounds after performance of DP2. Said it a while ago in the DP2 thread that it will struggle to match original at domestic box-office, but possibly under 260M. Yikes. Fox was stupid of releasing it in may. Should have stuck with June release or pushed it to August.

Anna | Luc Besson | Helen Mirren, Luke Evans, Cillian Murphy

Luc can go to hell now. Valerian, a good movie, deserve to bomb due to his ego. His wife should dump him for good. -
BP will do 700+ domestic after 200+ OW IW will surely do 760+ after 250+ OW. Infact, 800+ is most likely.

Rampage is kind of a flop at the domestic boxoffice. The rock is not really a draw as the media makes him out to be. Hit and miss guy. Just look at gi Joe 2, hercules and baywatch. I think he got lucky with San Andreas and Jumanji 2. Let's see how Skyscraper will do. Hobbs and Shaw should do fine as it based on a hugely popular brand.

THE DARKEST MINDS | 09.14.18 | Fox | sci-fi, thriller

Animation to live action transition is VERY tough. I don't count MI4 because anyone could have directed that script well. -

They should call this "The New Mutants" and that "The darkest minds". Seriously both look like they belong in xmen universe. -

Looks like a cheap x-men spinoff/ripoff. They moved Predator to accommodate this? LOL. Some confidence they have in this. -
Those Josh's delivered critical and commercial successes for them only to be fucked over real bad on their big CBM gig. This Josh is handling it a little more professionally though. But yeah I think any Josh should refuse to work on a fox CBM as fox is making it a habit of screwing them up. And I was the one who said both Josh's followed each other on Instagram after it was pushed to February 2019. Hell, they were Twitter buddies in June 2015, but Boone unfollowed him after fant4stic was out. Lmao. I guess now they are buddies. I actually followed their Twitter and Instagram back in 2015 when it was announced that Boone is going to do a xmen film. I was like this is going to be interesting...another Josh..what if this turns out like fant4stic? That would be hilarious...Jesus turns out just that. Frankly, the main problem is Simon with both or maybe all 3 films. He is beloved in Hollywood because he has great interpersonal skills and a cheerleader. That infectious attitude is the reason why some big names are willing to work on movies written or produced by him. But holy shit he is bad at his craft. The films that turned out great were those in which the script was already amazing or an experienced director with the help of some friends was doing the heavy lifting by fixing things constantly on set. Fox doesn't has anyone else so they keep giving him these projects. Do you know Olivia Munn schooled him on her character for xmen apocalypse? Guy claims to be a fan of xmen, but it's on a very superficial level.

I am pretty damn sure that they greenlit this movie around the same time as F4 was in post. That was supposed to be a body-horror cronenbergian movie. After they got that, they got shit scared and proceeded to destroy that movie thinking they are doing right. Now they got nervous after seeing the footage from this movie. This is what happens when you are being cheap and do not want to spend the money to do complex vfx/action. As a result, directors come up with such radical takes to do something unique. After they get that, they lost their shit and try to "fix" it but almost always fail as they collectively give up because it costs A LOT to fix. I can name several high profile movies in the last 3-4 years that have been fixed and turned out well, but the budget shot up like anything.
