  1. Avatar - Good Movie, the visuals were terrific, and all though I loved the shots and parts of the story, I still don't understand maybe someone can help me? When they transfer consciousness to the pandorian husks, how is it they return of their human bodys? I believe this is just unspoken of, but if someone knows it would be greatly appreciated. all in all well done.... 8/10That's my Boy - just watched the first little bit, I stoped watching it and don't have any regrets or interest in watching it another time..Eddie Murphy's Delirious - I know this is a Stand up Act and not a movie but I was rewaching this aswell as Dane Cook's vicious circle and I gotta say Eddie Murphy is one hell of an Impersonator, gotta be the most funny and best stand up act there is... maybe.Young Frankenstein - It's FRAKEN-STEEN he says, Oh well my name is I-Gore.. there is just so many laughs, my favourite little bit was the part with the trap door, Everytime the part makes me crack up. Classic and nostalgic, I like to think of this as one of the best comedies ever?
  2. Alot of us have to deal with being a narcissist(including myself). but its about dealing with it. You said your oppinion, now it's time to move on, don't sit there repeating yourself trying to make your point. people are going to see this and go wow what's up his/her butt. Getting all worked up for nothing, all to just to get your point across is clearly not worth it. Say it once people will read and Acknowledge it, say it as many times as you did people will put less value to your opinions, not because they disagree but because your pressuring them to think. And I know this for a fact we ALL don't like to be told what to think.. we all have our oppinions and that's fine... and clearly you think that your opinion is gods! opinion. The Almighty which stomps on everyone elses choices, this makes you very adamant about your opinions, I think.. anyways time to give it a break... I wont be replying to this sort of conversation again so I hope you understood...
  3. agreed with Minority Report, Dude You need to see Schindler's List!
  4. Out of the ones you listed im going with How to train your Dragon.Oh and no Depicable me? I guess because How to train your dragon and Toy Story 3 came out the same year it kinda got overshadowedI also Love Ratatouillie, The Incredibles, Monster's Inc, and Finding NemoAll the Toy Story films are fantasic as well.
  5. so wait It has to be released in summer to be considered?
  6. Im rewatching Avatar tonight il let you know what I think, have not watched it since It came out in theaters! but Lotr is still the best popcorn films most likely in the last ten years, and if you really make me choose il go with The Return of the King for the most fun even though The Two Towers Creeps too close behind it to give a legitimate enough answer. The fellowship was released in 2001 making it illegible. Theese are Good popcorn films. 1 more then 2. and thanks for not mentioning 3, does anyone even remember that film? I think everyone kinda just excused it right away and labeled it as a bad film like spidey 3 or Blade Trinity, I know I did. I was thinking maybe if Rachel Weisz would have stayed on board for this one, it wouldn't have turned into complete utter shit. excuse my language. But once she said she wasn't going to sign on they should have cancelled production, maybe get all new actors and start from there. Anyways just like the films I mentioned above ( Spidey 3 and Blade Trinity) I don't like to think of them even existing, but if they were not made, how many people would be saying why isin't there another one of those films well maybe next time we should be happy with what the film makers give us and dont expect more. but even still I wonder if maybe theese films are just made to make money and purposely become a bomb because the studio doesn't want to pay the filmmakers/writers more money.
  7. Yes, I certainly Bit The hook on that one.. Just to be clear I though The Dark knight Rises was good fun, 8/10 movie that could have been better if they just had more time to work out the kinks in the story, everything else as I remember was pretty well done. I Like Nolans Action sequences but we do have different styles so once in a while il go and say, well I would have done this or that. I still think it's great the way he puts us inside the action, really makes you feel like you are right there inside Gotham. they way he shoots makes it unique some like it some love it, some like me think it's an accomplishment in filmmaking but I don't think this is the best film of the summer. nor do I think The Avengers is.
  8. Im guessing this includes documentries or nah?1. Goodfellas2. Taxi Driver3. Ragging Bull4. Bob Dylan's No Direction home5. The Departed - Cast is the best.6. The Aviator7. Gangs of New York8. Hugo9. Shutter Island10. Casino11. Mean Streets12. Bringing Out the DeadHmm there isin't one film I dislike that i've seen by him, I'm really gonna start watching more of his films.
  9. I typed my oppinions on all the films, and it was all nicely edited and took me about 30 minutes, and then i accidently clicked the back button on my mouse and all was deleted. Got so Frustrated I said hell with it, but then later decided I was just gonna give a few short awnsers unedited and quick and then list the rest.1. Schindler's List - it is not a speilberg list if schindler is not number one..2. Raiders of the Lost Ark - There's nothing like indiana. like seriously this is the most entertaining movie you could possibly make about an archaeologist, Indiana was such a great idea.3. E.T The Extra-terrestrial - truly an amazing masterpeice, speilberg manages to make a film that both children and adults can enjoy.4. Minority Report - Was totally blown away the first time I saw this, Extrodinary film, all though there are flaws, speilberg makes an entaining thriller that keep you on the edge of your seat.5. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom - Love this film very entertaining, its the most humorous adn most fun Indiana jones, the Mine cart sequence was the best I have ever seen, theres not really a moment where you arean't interested, and one of the more rewatchable ones for me.6. Indiana Jones and the The Last Crusade - An amazing acheivment in film making, In my oppinion the end of a trilogy is always the hardest and yes im forgetting that horrible film where they rape indiana. Anyways its hardest to end a picture because most people are very critical and expecting it to live up to the hype, and speilberg I think Did the best anyone else could have done. The idea of the holy grail was simply perfect and adding some orginality by going back to it's roots. similar to a recent film that was very successful The Dark Knight Rises. I also like how they explained the story while bringing you back in time, seeing indiana as a much more younger man. And the ending was great it didn't drag out it's just simply perfect, is there a better ending to a trilogy?7. Munich - Speilberg makes a similar film to his schindler's list taking a real event and making it into a masterpeice this is why he is considered by most as the best director of his time. very rewatchable and I know how I wanted the film to end but speilberg makes it memorable and goes out a bit different then expected.8. Jaws - Genius, Speilberg reinvented horror films, with a big bite.9. Close Encounter of the Third Kind - Great Movie, Cast was amazing, just the Idea. Classic Speilberg.10. Jurrassic Park - you can't possibly make a live action film with dinosaurs better than speilberg, terrifying yet beautiful.11. Saving Private Ryan12. Artaficial Inteligence13. Catch me if you can14. The Adventure of tin tin15. The Terminal16. The Lost Wolrd: Jurassic Park17. War of the Worlds18. Hook19. Poopieanda peejones and the poopingdom of poopington skull. Poop. 20.Havean't seen the rest.oh! and fell asleep through warhorse should I give it another try?
  10. Dislike, sorry for picking on you...I know this isin't a first movie but Huge improvements from x3 to X-men first Class.Have not seen The Evil Dead 2 But heard it was better then the original.Bad Boys 2 Definatly Brought up the action and the story, not a great movie, far from it, but still I remember watching this the first time and being entertained can't say the same if I watched it again, so il keep that one of the shelf.Hellboy 2 was a very slight inprovment, I still Enjoy Hellboy Alot!Hostel 2 maybe, there are some great scenes in both it's hard to determine which one I liked more. But those girls turn me on!oh and btw as far as the Fast and Furious Films go My Favourite is definitely the first! they seem to get worse as they keep going on, except tokyo drift that was really bad. Five also might be a bit better then four, maybe, I don't have the time to waste watching them again. The rest has been said already.
  11. WTH is that picture of? and if Batman say were in the middle of nowhere and just ended up in gotham city in what it seems like a matter of minutes is genius? then I must be GOD!
  12. 'The Hills have Eyes was ok, The hills have eyes 2 I thought was pretty bad
  13. Moonrise Kingdom - Simply Loved this, The first time you watch it you get that feeling like wtf just happened? And then it sits with you while you try and make sense of this madness but I think that's exactly what Wes Anderson was trying to do, making it a Nostalgic Classic, one you want to see over and over again, so many great moments it's hard to pick a favourite, Two or three of those moments are very Far fetched and controversial, but this is a movie, not reality and we all know Wes Anderson tends to care more about the hypothetical meanings of his films rather then make a, regular John, simple, predictableYou can already tell what's going to happen, film. anyway just some thoughts. Btw my favouirte film this year thus far, The Amazing Spiderman is second.Crash(2005) - Havean't seen in years but a great film all in all. This Type of movie is very different from Moonrise Kingdom but where it shines is making it feel like it's real, showing the people that this is their reality, and how it makes us feel from the coices we make. The film makes u feel alot of things, not gonna get into it, but if you would like to feel it, this is the film for you.Kindergarten Cop - ARNOLD! I Guess I can watch this because I was only a child watching this for the first time. I don't Think it's a Horrible film, great music and some funny moments blended in with a film with some human heart. mmhmm Sounds like a tasty smoothy... nah, but the film does have some great moments in it and if you havean't watched already maybe check it out if your not busy.Peter Pan(1953) - Classic Walt Disney, My Favourite Pan Film. Still enjoyed Peter Pan(2003), Finding Neverland Was good, and Hook I guess isin't terrible. The Babymakers - Jay Chandrasekhar knows how to make me laugh, soft spot for his comedies I sure have
  14. Are they making anymore? This might not be a good idea if they are planning this but I havean't heard anything.
  15. jee can i join in ... k anyway it's so hard to make a list like this because my oppinions some times change. there is so many movies I havean't seen yet and still so many deserving that will not make it, but il give it my best and here it is1. Goodfellas - Simply amazing, the film that inspired me to wanna make film.2. City of God - Best Foreign language film this could easily be number 1 and proberly is one the best movies I have ever seen.3. The Godfather part 2 - I really loved what they did with this film, making a timeless classic even better. My favourite sequel of all time. the story of Don Vito Corleone rise to power while michael was learning how to control the family buissness was the greatest idea for the Godfather series. The worst was making another sequel....4. The Godfather - It has made such a name for it self people call this the best film of all time, I think it's near.5. Dark City - My Favourite Sci-fi movie a few years ago I have yet to rewatch but from what I remember this is one of my favourites6. Pulp Fiction - Combining theese stories was like nothing I had ever seen at the time but even now it remains one of the most nostalgic films I have ever seen.7. It's a Wonderful life - When I was a child I use to consider this as the best film of all time, I guess it just sticks with ya.8.Dazed and Confused - I wonder what this would be like if I wasn't stoned everytime I'd watch this, another film added to my rewach list. I guess I always saw this from a diferent pov, its time to try a new one.9.Memento - One the craziest films ever, I have to admit I had no idea what to expect going in and I was mind blown immediately after the film was finished.10.Clerks - Really can u make a better comedy with a budget of 27,575 " According to wikipedia" Wait no! can anyone make a better movie on that budget? Didn't think so, but it's not the money that matters it's what kevin smith managed to acheive in doing so, making one great film with some beautiful shots and likeable characters that we are instantly attatched to. this will always be one my favourites. Everytime I watch this it's not like im watching a movie, It's like im watching a kevin smith movie, so ty sir for giving us such great films that are diferent and unique in their on way/ and very very likeable...11. Donnie Darko - I really didn't think to many people understood this film, took me some research after the film to totally understand the whole concept of a tangent universe and how everything has to work together to save the universe which the film is based in. anyways if u still dont understand google it and you will find very descriptive awnsers.12. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - if only we could erase our memories today, then I would rewatch this film and all of theese and be astonished Once again.13. Reservoir Dogs - Well I don't know why I came here tonight, I got the feeling that something ain't right, Im so scared In case I fall of my chair, And im wonderin how il get down stairs, Clowns to the left of me Jokers to the Right here I am, stuck in the mIddle with you! :bouncy:14. A Clockwork Orange - Profanity at it's best stanley Kubrick was genius Director and still remains one of my favourites and always will.15. Scarface - Say Hello To My Little Friend !!! Come on the chainsaw scene is the best?!? what am I talking about every scene is the best...16. Schindler's List - Most Graphic, realistic and most heart grabbing film about real events. Speilberg really makes you feel like you are right there, black and white was definatly the way to go! and yes the reason why Steven is so highly praised, not to mention all his other great work Jaws, Jurassic Park, Munich, Minority Report, etc.17. The Graduate - the Film which made me realise if you like a song, play it once, play it twice, PlAy It Threw the whole god damn movie, but that's ok as long as it all moves fluently and this film moves as fluent as a professional transalator.18. Bottle Rocket - Great Film it's hard to choose which one I like better Rushmore or bottle rocket, Wes Andersons First two films which he co-wrote and directed,19. Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrells - Guy Ritchie A huge name in modern cinema, this is his first and yes my favourite of his films, with dialogue like this there should never be need for cgi.20. Almost Famous - Crowe at his best, Big fan love his work, especially this amazing work of art about a young writer that wants to write for the magazine The Rolling Stones, but it's not just about a writer it's also about the band he tours with trying to interview to get them both a shot at the big times.21. Battle Royale - The Real Hunger Games don't be mistaken it's nothing like that film which i thought was mediocre at best.22. Rushmore - I just Can't get enough, I love this film through and through and should proberly be a bit higher on the list, this is Jason Shwartzman's first film I know of and is my favourite with him his character is just so bizzare but still realistic and funny.23. The Great Escpae - again proberly should be ranked higher but it not, the music and the escape are favourite aspects plus Steve Mcqueen24. Forrest Gump - Stupid is as stupid does. An Amazing Epic, such an all around great film, meaning that there isin't much not to like in this one.25. The Thin Red Line - Beautiful, I havean't been the hugest fan of Malick cuz I can't seem to finish or yet understand his latest film The Tree of life but this film is just perfect. rewatchable 100 times and u still see the beauty, real beauty never seems to fade, this film has got heart and soul.I've stoped writing sorry I can't continue. but will finish of my list26. Y Tu Mama Tambien27. Back to the Future28. True Romance29. Stand By Me30. Leon: The Professional31. Synecdoche New York32. Taxi Driver33. Inglourious Basterds34. The Big Lebowski35. Gladiator36. If anyone has some suggestions, I'd be glad to hear them.Oh and I forgot Oldboy great film also
  18. Liked this one too, I also think New nightmare and freddy's dead are the worst then Numbers 4 and 5. 3 and the original being my favourites. The New Nighmare on Elm Street with Jackie Earle Haley was a major waste of time, hopfully if they do, do a sequel that it won't be as terrible as the first.
  19. 1 really big problem is that star wars revenge of the sith is on here, some might disagree with me but when i first saw it I thought it was a decent film in theaters, now I can't stand it. I was just wondering could they make this movie look any worst? I wanna see a more dark star wars all around the visuals and the backgrounds just look fake to me in pretty much every scene. Also not sure if it was because there was to many main character stories they wanted to tell but everything seemed klumped together, unnautral, and rushed. the movie looks like a toy you just got out of a cereal box and breaks after you use it a couple times..Anyways since I sat here and trashed a highly rated film il talk about one I did like(Love) that I saw on this thread that some people havean't seen " City of God" Now if you havean't seen this please do, for your benefit! This is a great film my favourite foreign film and in my Top ten of all time, a movie I rank up next to classics like goodfellas, Don't get my wrong this film is nothing like goodfellas but is still in the same genre crime/gangs/mobsters and might just have done it one better, the develpoment is something out of like scarface, it really gives you that feel that theese are theese criminals, I can't really remeber anything I didn't like in this film, I guess I have to rewatch
  20. A Great Comedy/horror, gonna watch this tomorow night, thanks alot I havean't seen this in years. There is more films in the comedy/horror genre then I thought there was, we could proberly make a pretty good list. Anyone see Fido or Tucker and dale vrs evil? , I guess fido isin't really a horror film at all and proberly sits in the zombie/dramedy genre. but if a nice Cheesey hollywood Zombie Film is what you desire then check out fido, It's not shaun of the dead btw, and doesn't try to resemble it in anyway, but is a fresh breath of zombie air...
  21. I Guess Horror, Gore, and zombie films will be Included?1. 24. Lupin The Third: The Castle of CagliostroSpirited AwayPrincess MonokeHowl's Moving CastleNausicaa of the Valley of the WindPonyoPorco RossoKiki's Delivery ServiceCastle in the SkyMy Neigbor Totoro** no doubt there is not one film on here that isin't worth watching theese are all the films Directed by Hayao Miyazaki in order from top to bottom which I liked best to which I liked least. the reason I picked My Neigbor Totoro was because I wasn't able to really connect with the film, It is a children's film and I think they are going to enjoy it alot more then I did, but the rest are great his latest work Ponyo truly hits the heart and is one you don't want to miss. anyways check em out, and hayao Miyazaki is one the greatest maybe The greatest consistent animation film makers. ranking up with the great walt disney and don bluth...
