  1. The all female reboot killed the IP (it was already dead), the Paul Rudd film was ok but it didn't deserve a sequel. I think this franchise is too goofy for adults and too old-school for the new generations. The oldsters don't care abut this either. The best they can do is move the IP to the small screen and change the tone to something similar to stranger things.
  2. I'm still skeptical about this one, looks nothing like Fury Road, looks very CGI-ish and in a bad way.
  3. His next film should be the Warhammer project. But I doubt he will want to continue to adapt franchises. Most likely he will begin to make his dream films, like Nolan has been since he left the Batman trilogy.
  4. I can see this reaching 450M - 500M WW but not much more. Dune 2 is going to keep the BO throne until the summer.
  5. Dune Messiah is obviously happening, pretty sure is going to be splitted in two movies. WB is just waiting for the Max release or still discussing the paycheck figures for Denis and Co. BTW, saw this movie twice already and its fucking spectacular, can´t remember something this epic on the big screen since the Lord of the Rings movies.
  6. Is Will Smith slapping someone in the main trailer? that could push the movie to unseen meme territory.
  7. Marvel should focus on R Rated stuff from now on, Deadpool, Blade, Daredevil.
  8. At least the VFX and CGI are going to be top notch, which is one of the selling points for this franchise, so it´s a good start for once. I also think Gareth has some passion about the franchise.
  9. After Echo I expect nothing but disappointment from Marvel, if Deadpool 3 turns out to be good it was because Reynolds and his creative team, exactly like Guardians 3 with Gunn. Also, this negativity towards CBM is not bias, is a well known feeling across the GA, people are really tired of people in spandex suits I guess.
  10. Lol with these insane predictions, we are not in 2018, this movie is going to underperform so bad.
  11. Less and less people are consuming their products (Movies, Parks, Disney +, etc.) that is the definition of failure. Stock value is irrelevant as it's purely speculative and they have been laying off many people so the corpos investing on them are happy.
  12. The empire keeps falling. https://nairametrics.com/2024/02/08/disney-loses-1-3-million-subscribers-falls-short-by-300million-in-revenue/
  13. Yeah, I´m getting a lot of cloverfield vibes, from the first one (The camera work, the aesthetic, monster frames, etc.) This looks OK, seems like a brainless action flick.
  14. Disney deserves to be sued by every human in this planet for ruining so many beloved franchises.
  15. You were spot-on https://comicbookmovie.com/spider_man/madame-web/madame-web-early-box-office-tracking-points-to-25m-35m-debut-new-tv-spot-released-a209006#gs.3f1foc
  16. LMAO these days almost everyone in hollywood is juiced up, "good genetics" and "chicken and broccoli" is derision at this point. Do you really think a 50 plus guy like the Rock is having all that beef without hormones and steroids?
  17. Nah, no one in she hulk is a big star. They blew the budget on reshoots and idiotic scenes.
  18. I also can see the future, I see this movie flopping with only sub 10s million dollars OW.
  19. Cruise got over confident because of Top Gun 2 and thought this was going to explode too, carried by that momentum. The movie was ok but far from the recent 3, for the next one they really need to capture something more special.
  20. Streaming isn't that profitable, the operating costs are huge and the market is very saturated / diluted right now. For sure all the big streaming platforms were expecting a huge incremental growth that didn't came. Investing billions on mediocre flops that no one asked for (Rings of power) isn't going to help either.
  21. Do they even care at this point? everyone but the hardcore Marvel fans know that their products are an easy skip, for both TV and cinema right now. I had hope on Echo because of the "Spotlight" thing and MA rating but it's just another fiasco. For me its crystal clear they will continue to deliver products with shitty scripts and with awful productions. Maybe another mega flop like The Marvels is going to really wake them up.
  22. Another pre-production hell movie, they have been casting for 4 years now. I wonder what shit show is behind the scenes. I mean, it's not like they need a perfect match, the film is not a Shakespeare adaptation or anything like that.
  23. Also, the CGI is still looking awful, the last Japanese trailer is awful, hard to believe Minus One had like 10% of the budget this has and godzilla looks 10 times better there.
  24. For what it's worth, at least Marvel is having the balls to enter the R/MA territory. If they begin to hire seasoned film makers and push less trashy content they could fill the gap DC has been trying to fill since the mid 2010's,
