@ShouldIBeHere Titanic, Jaws, Halloween, are you related to baumer by any chance? nice list, thanks for the mention but baumer did start the blurbs, I was simply doing my part So many people with Fellowship at #1 I have a feeling this movie will age like fine wine even more than it already does. Of the 3 it uses the less CGI, and is the most focused one in its story, at least I think.

Great idea baumer! Here's my current top 15, with a short desc. Things might still move around but it gives a good idea 1. LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring (2001) - This is where it begins. Like baumer said, Boromir's final scene never fails to amaze me. Such wonderful and emotional directing. 2. LOTR: Two Towers (2002) - Somehow, this middle chapter feels like it has a satisfying beginning, middle, and ending. Amazing editing between the 3 stories. Sam's speech at the end 3. LOTR: Return of the King (2003) - Although its narrative heft isn't on par with the 2 others, ROTK is a killer ending to the best and most consistent movie series ever made. 4. The Matrix (1999) - A movie which re-defined the action genre as much as The Matrix did had no right having such a great script. But somehow, it did! Sci-fi Action at its absolute best. 5. Pulp Fiction (1994) - Tarantino sure knows how to make wonders out of mundane dialogue. 6. GoodFellas (1990) - The movie which Scorcese would continuously plagiarize himself over in order to replicate. That's how good it is. 7. Pan's Labyrinth (2006) - Guillermo Del Toro described this movie as a "dark fairy tale for adults". I dare say he absolutely nailed it. 8. Mulholland Drive (2001) - The more I watch this movie, the more it rises in my rankings. This quintessential mindfuck packs a wallop. 9. Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) - Arnold Schwarzenegger as The Terminator is just pure casting bliss. 10. Inglourious Basterds (2009) - Tarantino is apparently also a master of tension. 11. Schindler's List (1993) - This movie is recently getting brigaded on IDMb by holocaust deniers. That kinda reminds me why the holocaust was made possible. Humans made it possible. 12. Casablanca (1942) - La Marseillaise... jesus christ 13. Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (2015) - The relaunch that reinvigorated the Star Wars mania that was dormant for so many years... The magic is back! 14. Inception (2010) - Nolan works his magic. A bit heavy on the exposition, but who cares? You'll need an alarm clock to snap out of this one. 15. The Godfather (1972) - Coppola or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Make the Mafia Likable. How this movie manages to work is still a mystery to me, but boy does it work! I wish I could just combine the 3 LOTR together, but in this top, they are considered separate movies, so I will provide #16 and #17 as well as if LOTR was #1 16. Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977) - The grand classic, the one that started it all. I can never get tired of this movie. 17. Whiplash (2015) - A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one.

If you love Blade Runner and Westworld, look no further... among the newest additions to my top 100 Little FYC from Asia (NOT the Scarlett Johansson remake) Outstanding movies, especially the 2nd one. 1st one might not make my cut but 2nd definitely will And those visuals in Innocence.... This movie is simply mesmerizing, a real treat for the eyes. The whole movie could be a gif. Screenshots from google below (click for 1080p) That's it for your consideration lads

So just came out of this I think it's a good movie, but the ending kinda... fell flat. I mean, apart from that terrible teleporting -- Oh I'm sorry but I have to delve into that. So the guy blows his horn and rhinos come out of the ground seconds later? What the hell is this? And then, to top it all off, the huge guy with the snow army surprises another army by stepping right behind their leader, while the whole battle happens on top of a huge cliff? And nobody saw it coming, nobody saw them... climbing the hill? Like, hundreds of soldiers just materialized behind them? I mean, there's suspension of disbelief and then there's this. -- Alright, end of teleporting rant I absolutely loved the supporting characters (Shuri, Nakia, and the others), they killed it in my opinion and definitely outshone the main characters. Wakanda looks awesome. The fights were simultaneously cool and terrible. Don't know how they managed that. I was certain Ross was gonna die, no idea why. Well, pleasantly surprised he didn't. Pacing was on point, loved the flow of the movie. Hip-hop soundtrack was a bit out of place during, I recall, one scene, but otherwise, loved it. Definitely a movie that felt different, not so much in terms of story but everything else, so I enjoyed it a lot for that. Recommended!

What? How is that possible? Did they release it in LA for like 3 days? If so, wow as you said, they must be kicking themselves right now

Honestly, Boss Baby getting an animation oscar nomination while Your Name sits in the dust is just further proof that the oscars are really a joke (as if anyone who frequently watches movies thought otherwise?) They should rename this category to best PIXAR or DREAMWORKS animation feature, would be closer to reality. release date is april 7th 2017 so it's elligible.

No one has a better comedic timing in the entire MCU than Chris Hemsworth in my opinion. Not even RDJ -

He's the hero BOT deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll GIF-spam him. Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian. A watchful protector. An Ex Admin. -

I'm working on making a top 50 or so best fight choreography I could post on this website, with detailed reviews, if people are interested. It would be certainly different from typical tops. A movie could even score more than once if 2 epic fights are in it! I've watched about 150 hong kong/martial arts movies (plan on watching more this year), and yes, the amount of American movies in this top would be pretty much... 0 Maybe 1 or 2 honorable mentions -

lol what a disaster I find this morbidly funny Disney must be shaking their heads right now pretty hard Also @Valonqar is 100% right on the fight choreography. Watch a lot of Honk Kong movies and you'll see -- if you think John Wick has good fight choreography, which I admit is still better than like 99% of American movies, it's not even close to the best Hong Kong movies. They've been at it since the 60's To them, lightsaber fights are terribly boring, uninspired and unimpressive choreography. Donnie Yen beating the crap out of Jing Wu though...? That's a lot more interesting!
