Titans, doom patrol, swamp thing have all been good-great and my biggest surprise this year so far besides watchmen obviously has been pennyworth, really good show as well, I was happy to see it was renewed today. I’m sad Kyrpton was canceled and am looking forward to seeing Stargirl whenever I get to see it. I’m more then open to giving anything a shot. Unfortunately I don’t think HBO max will be fully coming to Canada as HBO already has a deal here and I was reading details today. So I’m still unsure what will come and at what point. DC universe shows still don’t come here till a few months after the seasons end now.

I wouldn’t expect any less quality from the new people. If they expect to compete they know they need to put out excellent quality stuff.

I mean to be fair they have to give people something to get them to try and sign up but I do get what you’re saying. I’m not sure if this is the Geoff Johns GL he was writing or what.

Watchmen is pretty amazing but I try not to prejudge to much as I’m sure the budget and scope of this green lantern show is probably gonna be 3x the other shows he’s does if not more.

I was hoping it would be JJ - but the anthology series does sound cool and I’ll have HBO anyways so I’ll give anything a chance.

What expectations? Was this supposed to make 400m domestic or something? Most people didn’t even think this would touch 300m domestic. Anyways, you’re entitled to your opinion, I just don’t agree.

It’s already the 10th highest grossing R rated movie Domestically, I don’t know how anyone could equate that to decent tbh.

This is exactly the same thought process I have. The fact that we’re even having this discussion says enough about Jokers run as EG opening weekend and beating Avatar was already incredible. It’s all about what you feel is more impressive to you personally.

If people online would think about this a bit more we wouldn’t have so many insane arguments. People resonate with different things for different reasons and other people need to be more compassionate about that imo. I’ve moved way past caring what people think about what I enjoy but I can’t help but shake my head at some of the comments I’ve read here or online on social media.

I’m 40 and have terrible taste in movies lol, like what you like imo but I’m fine with other people disliking what I like, doesn’t bother me at all. That’s probably why I find this whole situation with the older directors funny.
