Another really solid episode.

For me this exciting as I wasn’t as big of a fan of the first BP as most but I really like Doom, the GA won’t care one way or another about Doom but BP2 will be huge either way.

You don’t have to be impressed, but you don’t speak for everyone. It’s impressive to me what they’ve done and many people enjoy the shows so they must be doing something right. I get that it’s not your cup of tea and completely respect that but you have to understand that WB is a business and this makes them money, and people obviously watch the shows or else we wouldn’t see spin offs in the works.

I don’t think anyone is expecting this to be massive. This movie will only be a money maker if WB doesn’t go nuts with reshoots and the budget stays reasonable. Even if it breaks out I feel like a beak out for this might be like max 750m WW which could be good if budget is kept in check. I’m hoping this can do 500m WW.

That’s the thing, even if you don’t love/ like any/all the shows you have to respect what they’ve done with the CW crossover events and the way they’ve built the universe into a money making machine for the network. It’s definitely not at the mcu level of financial success or storytelling but these shows have small budgets and have done well with what they’ve had to work with imo.

Any movie will have detractors no matter what, if it’s good and has a good release date it will make money. Having an alternate universe Superman like Calvin Ellis could be a massive hit if done right. If you haven’t learned by now that the loud annoying people online who complain about everything aren’t representative of the GA I don’t know what to tell you.

I’m pretty sure we’ll be getting a Clark Kent Superman movie but I’m fine with whatever they do. They had one meeting with MBJ, they’ve probably met with JJ and other directors multiple times this year.

Pretty much this. It’s so easy to see why WB is doing what they’re doing for the CW and why they signed Berlanti to a huge deal, he’s done massive business for them. The CW shows are easy to digest and dumb fun, which is fine. I watch a few of the shows and I’ll watch crisis just cause I’m curious and am a huge dc fan. I’ll also give the new Superman show a shot and can’t wait to see what they do for HBO max. Berlanti is also only producing on those shows on hbo just like he did with doom patrol which was pretty great.

At least they’re discussing Superman and have spoken to JJ about it also, I think he’ll probably be making the next Superman movie whenever it comes next.

Sucks we have to wait longer to see this. My kids are gonna be disappointed.

This is just a really well made show, every week keeps getting better.

I don’t expect massive numbers either but I think if the rock can get a movie like rampage(over 400m) or even Skyscraper which was pretty bad to over 300m WW I think the goal for this should be around 500-600m WW. It could do less for sure but if it keeps the holiday date and it’s received well I think it should be able to hit those numbers.

I haven’t seen anything from WB but I assume since the rock and his people announced the date we should probably hear something soon.

I personally don’t have any interest in frozen 2 but my kids are in the same boat, no interest in frozen but want to see Jumanji and Star Wars. We saw frozen 1 in theatres but they’re just not interested in this one. They’re 12 and 15 now so I’m not really shocked lol.

Lots of really uninformed people posting in this thread like usual, but at least it’s here.

Most people on here and online expected Aquaman to get eaten alive by marry poppins and bumblebee, and that was before reviews came out. I know for myself I was hoping for a 500-600m run which would of been great for an Aquaman solo origin story.

After BvS, Aquaman and Jokers box office runs nothing will surprise me ever again with regards to comic book movies.

I really don’t care what anyone thinks of Snyder tbh, I just want to see the movie he set out to make. I’m not a huge Snyder fan boy or anything saying he can do no wrong, I’m just curious to see his cut of the movie. Also, the dc brand is more then fine, make good movies and have good release dates and your movies will make money.

It’s really crazy seeing all the pics snyder is sharing though(the Gal Gadot/Uxas pic) from today for example. Regardless of anything I’m very curious to see his cut of the movie one day just to see how different it really is cause it seems way way different.

I hope this leads to something.
