JP said last week on a talk show that while Joker was never his dream role going into the movie it has basically turned into after playing the part. He said he has spoken a lot to Phillips about working with him again on something and is open to working on more joker stuff if there’s something to be done. I wouldn’t expect to see him in Batman or anything but I wouldn’t be shocked to see Joker get a sequel down the line. I think it’s around the 21 minute mark where he gets asked about this being his dream role.

I would be pretty surprised if this did less then 650-700m WW.

That’s javelin, pretty much comic accurate. I’m assuming this is gonna be the case of deadpool2 where a lot of these guys come in and die quick lol.

I tracked 24 theatres for presales for joker and I just took a look at 10 of them for late shows tonight and honestly it’s pretty insane for a second weekend. I don’t know what that’s going to translate too for the weekend but it’s definitely putting up big numbers, one theatre has 3 VIP shows sold out for later tonight and has an AVX screen that’s sold nearly 300 seats already, there’s only front row left. One of the other big ones has 4 screens with about 1000 seats already sold for those showings, pretty crazy, cause there’s still going to be more walk ups for those shows.

You’re entitled to your opinion but lots of people agree with him as well, I don’t personally but I also don’t care what he thinks about things that I like/enjoy.

CNN does have a number of terrible articles coming out non stop but so do lots of other media sites as well. I’ve blocked so many sites/people over the last week on social media it’s insane.

His comments weren’t bad, it’s how he feels about how marvel movies are made and how they produce them. It’s really not that big of a deal but should we really be shocked we got a million and one articles and non stop conversations about this. Just look at all the BS surrounding Joker.

If people weren’t easily offended this wouldn’t be all over the news online and being talked about here. I’m sure Feige and Marvel will be just fine.

Why does anyone care what MS thinks of the mcu? Does it change any of the accomplishments the mcu has achieved or does it change the way Any of you feel about the movies? I would argue he probably knows better then any of us what processes go into film making and if that’s the way he feels so be it. I don’t agree with him but that doesn’t change the fact that he’s allowed to have that opinion and that he’s also a fantastic film maker who’s made some of my favourite movies. Everyone gets so easily offended now a days, It’s actually pretty pathetic. Enjoy what you enjoy and that should be fine for you, online culture has made everyone need to feel this weird sense of validation from everyone else to just enjoy something.

I’m actually amazed any of you actually waste time responding to that person, I’ve had them on ignore since one of their first posts.

I started looking around to track Gemini man as I’m bored cause I’m off work for like a month but through the first 7 theatres it only had 32 tickets sold for all combined so far, not really worth tracking yet. I’ll look the day before I guess and see what’s up.

After see joker preview night I figured wom would be better then I originally expected but not to this level and especially not those overseas numbers. It’s insane. I understand it’s the joker and it’s a cbm but it’s definitely not your typical cbm. It’s going to be really interesting to see the legs for this and what it finishes at.

Waking up from surgery to see that preview number was nice, whatever it does this weekend it’s a good opening either way. This was fun movie to track and now that I have some actual comps to use it will be more helpful in the future.

Maybe, I heard some dumb complaints on the way out of the movie but that could of just been at my showing.
