  1. You're damn right I'll go to a morning IMAX showing when it costs less than half of an evening one here. Plus a movie is about the only thing that can get me out of bed early when I don't have work, I enjoy walking out of the theater with the whole day still ahead of me.
  2. If we're not maybe we'll instead see that Fantastic Four movie that Peyton Reed's been wanting to make for like 20 years.
  3. That'd require over 4x from this weekend, I don't see it. I see it crawling juuust over 400 a la Revenge of the Fallen.
  4. A July release would need to have flat-out bad WOM and/or be DH2-level frontloaded to miss that multi. In fact every single July opener that ever opened above 76m with the exception of DH2 has reached it. (HP5, HP6 and TF3, which had Wednesday openings, have close to 3x with their first two days' grosses taken out; I'm sure they would have hit 2.63x with a Friday release.) I wouldn't worry too much.
  5. Disobedience's PTA also dropped like 80% while this is just over 50%. Given that LNT is a PG-rated presumably audience-friendly drama I think it can stick around for a while and approach, maybe cross 10m.
  6. Watched Down with Love. I had no idea Marvel Director Peyton Reed was actually Visionary Auteur Peyton Reed, at least at some point. Seriously though this thing is delightful, straight-up the Hudsucker Proxy/Far From Heaven/Speed Racer/La La Land of cheesetastic late '50s/early '60s romcoms.
  7. Black Panther's PTA is gonna get a good jump but it's still gonna remain under 699.9m after this weekend lmao. I hope they keep dragging it till Christopher Robin.
  8. For now Assault on Precinct 13, but In the Mouth of Madness remains unseen.
  9. did someone on the last page seriously just ponder the possibility of Hotel Transylvania 3 pulling Ice Age sequels numbers OS
  10. nah he didn't make any movies at all in 1999-2003 and it was mostly small roles in nothing movies from then on until NCFOM. I still remember I was pleasantly surprised to see him in that movie because I'd remembered him as a '90s actor who disappeared and then boom a couple of years later he had Zombieland, 2012, an Oscar nod, then THG, etc.
  11. We've turned this into the Much Ado About Nothing (1993) thread, as we will do with every other thread from now on.
  12. You might have to bear with me here but a person's gender is kind of different from a skill or occupation they can just take up.
  13. Nathan Fillion's Dogberry in the Whedon adaptation is much more my speed. Recommended btw if you haven't seen that.
  14. I love Keanu in Much Ado. I'm serious, and not being patronizing. The character literally has to do nothing but proclaim "I am the villain" and stare at people with contempt for 15 minutes, and I think Keanu is genuinely hilarious summoning all of his limited range for exactly that purpose. Keaton's much more out of his element imo.
