  1. MT: TLJ - 63.8% BR 2049 - 7.5% Ninjago - 4.1% TLJ Fan Event - 3.9% MLP - 3.0% TLJ dominates, increasing at 2% per hour, should pick up later as people get off work. BR slowly trickling away. Ninjago plummeting. "Bombjago" and "Such fail" banners are seen being waved by the Anti-Lego Foundation. TLJ fan event rises to #4 as MLP becomes irrelevant to society. Don't take those comments too seriously
  2. Has somebody lost faith in mother! ? What happened to you Han?
  3. Given MT is going quite high for IT, there's a chance IT makes the top 10 of this prestigous list due to the deadness of the market: http://www.boxofficemojo.com/alltime/weekends/num1marketshare.htm Using BOPros numbers for the weekend but IT at $100m, IT gets 75.7% (using places 11 and 12 at 1.6m total), which places it 9th ahead of all the Hunger Games and Spider-Man (2002). With IT at $90m it's at 13th place.
  4. I guess you mean CBMs and Star Wars? Otherwise are you saying IT > SW: TFA???
  5. ANOTHER positive sign for Wolf Warriors 2... When do we start to question whether Wolf Warriors 2 can become the highest grossing film in a single market? (Over SW7 DOM)
  6. As far as I could find, it's only occurred two weekends for 2 live action films, one was Avatar's second weekend when Sherlock Holmes opened to $50m+, then the second is Iron man 3's second weekend when The Great Gatsby opened to just a smidge over $50m. If you leap in animation, you have a couple more including shrek 2's second weekend and Inside Out OW/Jurassic World 2nd's. so having only happened at end of 2009, midway through 2013, and now potentially midway through 2017. Eerily consistent over the years (roughly every 4 years)
  7. How does that compare to the source now @grim22? Has Homecoming caught up or still lagging behind?
  8. Spiderman: Homecoming Pitch Perfect 3 Incredibles 2 Murder on the Orient Express Star Wars: The Last Jedi Coco Despicable Me 3 IT Deadpool 2 Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

  10. Spiderman: Homecoming The Book of Henry Pitch Perfect 3 Murder on the Orient Express Star Wars: The Last Jedi Cars 3 Coco Despicable Me 3 IT Deadpool 2
  11. If they keep the tease exclusive to the film without posting online, then that'll likely boost Cars 3's box office massively as people rush out to see the teaser until it leaks online/Disney release it online. Now THAT would be a clever ploy to boost Cars 3!
  12. Spiderman: Homecoming The Book of Henry Pitch Perfect 3 Murder on the Orient Express Star Wars: The Last Jedi Cars 3 Coco Despicable Me 3 IT Deadpool 2 Murder enters at #4 thanks to the trailer, Han leaves in peace
  13. Not sure it's been mentioned but... https://twitter.com/michaelbay/status/870156696731168768 Not the 3 hours and 2 minutes posted here a while ago or from a google search. Looking good for show count, big bucks!
  14. Spiderman: Homecoming The Book of Henry Pitch Perfect 3 Star Wars: The Last Jedi Cars 3 Coco Despicable Me 3 IT Avengers: Infinity War Han Solo
  15. Would its opening weekend be reported as a 5-day total to inflate numbers or just Fri-Sun?
  16. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales Spiderman: Homecoming The Book of Henry Pitch Perfect 3 Star Wars: The Last Jedi Cars 3 Coco Despicable Me 3 IT Avengers: Infinity War No change!
  17. Pirates has now passed $1.1m (7.56m yuan) in total presales, a small step towards its large gross! 12 days and 2 hours till it is released!
  18. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales Spiderman: Homecoming The Book of Henry Pitch Perfect 3 Star Wars: The Last Jedi Cars 3 Coco Despicable Me 3 IT Avengers: Infinity War Swapped 9 & 10.
  19. Presales at 2x Fate of the Furious... $400M OW incoming!!!
  20. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales Spiderman: Homecoming The Book of Henry Pitch Perfect 3 Star Wars: The Last Jedi Cars 3 Coco Despicable Me 3 Avengers: Infinity War IT Spiderman bumped to 2nd, Ebbing replaced with Avengers.
  21. Sunday is down 18.7% from last week, I've got the weekend at about 850M-900M yen (-22% from last weekend). About $7.5m-$8m. It is good enough for the 7th-9th best 3rd weekend ever. If average ticket price is inflated like last weekend, it could go higher, but 1 billion is very unlikely.
  22. Beauty and the Beast increased 1.7% in admissions up to 11pm over last Saturday. Will be flat or slightly down in Yen though due to cheaper ticket price. As Sunday was flat last weekend compared to Saturday, we're looking for Sunday to stay flat or increase this weekend for any chance at another billion Yen weekend.
