yeah, Singer rumors were legendary. some were funny like the fist-fight he and Spacy had over Routh on the set of Superman Returns. others were just gross and creepy #metoo shit with underage boys.

Ok, if that's a playful dig than it's my mistake. I didn't take "vapid" as playful but maybe it was. Anyway, Tom and Michelle likely won't have to revive their careers by playing Venom characters in 40 years cause they are doing really great and are not famous for only 1 character.

I actually didn't like it that Laurie's whole life was waste on waiting for Michael to inevitably come back. She's basically an elderly loony-tunes, a failed mother, a failed everything because waiting for Mikey took priority over everything. So she finally kills him in a team effort with her daughter and granddaughter, they embrace cause they are finally a family after 300 wasted years...and we all know Michael will be back in the sequel cause he's unkillable. So what was achieved? Anyway, as far as kills go, they are great and JLC is chewing scenery in a good way as the grizzled Laurie Eastwood. I wouldn't mind the character if this was the first movie and she's like that but we all always rooted for Laurie and to see her life ruined so much, sigh. I guess it's realistic PTSD and all that but still.

I think that FM's bigger problem is that people simply aren't interested to see it no matter the WOM. Some movies are just like that, have very limited appeal and no amount of praise will convince the disinterested to give it a chance.

Jamie Lee Curtis lost my respect with that tweet. It's one thing to say lets see if we can get the record but "vapid Venom"? really? Did he kick her puppy or something? Uncalled for. I don't recall the Venom cast&crew ever saying anything bad about Haloween or other movie for the matter. WB and ASIB cast didn't shit on Venom when ASIB was fighting for #1 with it. Gagabots are not official studio people so who cares. Also, that sounds butthurt. She was irrelevant for decades (what was her last relevant movie, another Halloween or some bad Xmas comedy?) and now is back to relevancy thanks to 40 years old role. That gotta sting.

Phenomenal for Halloween and well deserved!

ASIB is a giant hit even it collapsed from this day forward which it won't. $36M budget before P&A, will be close to 200M WW after this weekend. it's done the job. It's an undisputed boxoffice smash, it's an undisputed critical smash. Awards noms and maybe even some wins will follow since it's contention to win. First Man is the one in trouble because it was never contending to win, just to get noms. So such movies (and actors, directors) tend to fall by the wayside when stronger candidates contending for the win arrive. It does not have boxoffice on its side and even though that never played much of role lately, it's a bonus for aspiring nominees.

SH vs Horror Who's More Impressive fight is stupid. Both genres are posting bonkers numbers for their genre so it's a tie. Venom is impressive considering he is mostly known as the villain in Spiderman but not the main character that can carry a movie. Also, WOM is defying those hit job reviews. Halloween is impressive cause it resurrected a dormant franchise.

LOL, so somehow ASIB is a flop and a slow roll-out YA drama is a flop too cause it didn't open to over $20M from limited release or whatever. You learn something new every day. if mid 70s is Halloween opening prediction than it's likely going to be photofinish with Venom for the record for I think it's gonna hit 80M. How's Venom holding? It's gonna cross 200M when all is said and done, no?
