  1. I found the first episode fine and the second middling, but the biggest problem so far is if this didn't have The Lord of the Rings branding and filter over it, it's likely I would not continue beyond this point.
  2. Neither the first or the second episode ending with a very clear cut big hook for the viewers is astounding to me. But the reviews are pretty good. Not a slam dunk hit and they probably hoped for better, but the potential is there.
  3. Been nearly a year now and this still firmly remains one of the standout film experiences, and now more than ever it feels like the last of its kind.
  4. There's too little talk about the actual story in these two episodes from the reactions. The vast majority is about the spectacle and how expensive it looks, but I'm gonna need to hear some more to up my interest.
  5. Really enjoyed it. A lot of very good scenes and sequences, and it does a good job of establishing all the characters in an effective way. It pulls some smart early moves to bring that same enormously varied GoT audience back to Westeros, tricking people like my parents and grandmother into watching a fantasy show yet again.
  6. Don't stop doing what you're doing the way you've been doing it. Thanks for the list, Panda.
  7. Let this be a sign that you should watch The Apartment, would highly highly recommend it. I wanna say it made the top 20 of my list. The best picture winner of the 1960 movies.
  8. What I was implying is it's not exactly crazy not to have heard of The Apartment if you've only seen 20 black and white movies. You made it sound like the list had uncovered the only black and white film you've never seen.
  9. My man is gonna pose a huge threat as a super interesting multi-faceted antagonist for our heroes to punch. Steppenwolf could never.
  10. I've been really looking forward to the Batman one too (the Superman one was always strange to me lol), would be a shame to see it get the axe.
  11. I think there's a fair chance they'll get to live, but how about the animated Batman: Caped Crusader?
  12. Far more interested in Reeves' handcrafted Batman world than any tired cinematic superhero universes they can make, so kill off the Penguin and Arkham (and the animated Batman) shows and I'm out lol
