China isn't needed for the Episodes but once Disney starts to have Star Wars films away from familiar time periods like the OT then it might be a concern if they continue to flop in China. Rian Johnson's trilogy will be a test. -
Don't get why studios keep avoiding putting major tentpole films in August. GOTG and Suicide Squad proved you can open big and get good legs. I guess the July Weekdays are too appealing for Studios still.

I would be surprised (not shocked) if Avatar 2 didn't make $2 Billion. The subsequent sequels will decrease though just purely due to saturation.

Atm I'd say the chances are 55/45 in Infinity War's favour. Remains to be seen how Deadpool 2 impacts Infinity War Overseas (it'll obviously have a big impact in North America next week).

Eh at the end of the day very few people were thinking 2.4x+ legs for Infinity War was realistic and it's going to easily surpass that. Has a very good shot of beating Thor: Ragnarok's multiplier to become the most leggy third film in the MCU. Off a $250M+ Opening Weekend too.

Yeah I forgot to take into account Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom's Early OS Release Dates. Will definitely hurt the UK, France and Germany totals.

I honestly have no idea how this is going to go. It could do $350M to $450M and I wouldn't be shocked at either of those numbers.

Don't think China is doing $250M. Probably $200M-$220M.

Infinity War has held very strongly on its past two Sundays. Let's see if Mother's Day changes that.

Yeah perhaps the great WoM from every other region around the world led to more presales than usually. Let's remember that no other comic book film has done what Infinity War has so far.

$400M total seems the ceiling then so far.

In compariosn Civil War and Ultron's final scores were 8.6 Hopefully Infinity War's score can eventually land above those. Ultron had a 5 Day Opening right? So cant compare its Multiplier to Infinity War.

Well John Campea kept repeating on Twitter that there was no way Infinity War could make 4x Black Panther's Total because Black Panther was an MCU film which completely ignores how Age of Ultron and Civil War did. This was of course after someone responded to his tweet how Infinity War may struggle to hit the $2 Billion mark by saying the MCU is more popular in China than Star Wars. -
A drop around 33% would be in line with Civil War, Black Panther and GOTG Vol 2 (which for this week are seemingly the best comps).
