Remember when Doctor Strange's OW was considered a great win (still is of course) But yeah Marvel has the GA's trust and until they make a complete stinker will continue to do so.

I would have been on the $400M+ train for Spidey but yeah Lion King is gonna hurt it. Still it's in July and if it's good it should outgross Homecoming. I'm more interested if it can explode OS.

Black Panther only had great legs in certain regions. I don't think it was as well received in Asia as it was in other regions.

I think the impact Civil War had was selling Chadwick as T'Challa so when it came time to marketing Black Panther the trailers could focus more on showcasing Wakanda and the other supporting characters.

True and if they gave Scott Derrickson the sequel to Doctor Strange they probably won't change. Hopefully the Russo Brothers do something cool with Captain Marvel like Doctor Strange which will help excitement for a sequel be even greater.

My interest in a sequel will greatly diminish if they don't bring back Ben Mendelsohn. And I wouldn't mind a director change but I doubt that when this film is on its way to $1 Billion lol

For OW only yeah maybe even more frontloaded. But past that definitely not. The film is a crowd pleaser and entertaining enough to get decent legs.

Shazam! definitely got a great reaction. Coupled with the social media reactions it got today I can see it breaking out despite the I suppose "low key" marketing WB has done for it.

Yeah I was onboard this film when the SDCC trailer came out for it too. I would love if it could flirt with $300M Domestic but regardless another critically acclaimed film for DC one would think. The franchise is definitely on the upward swing. -
Yeah no longer needs to hit $400M Domestic to hit $1 Billion.
