I wonder if how the acquisition of Dreamworks by Universal will affect their budgets. Will Dreamworks cut their costs the same way Illumination does?

Last movie of 2018 was Ralph Breaks the Internet. Sort of appropriate with what I'm going through.

Solid and heartwarming film. After watching The Last Knight gave me a literal headache nice to see this franchise is capable of so much more.

2018 ended up better than expected honestly.

Toy Story 4 is an interesting case of double dipping on people's nostalgia of the franchise. I think it can very much get to $400M but don't see it touching Dory much less Incredibles 2 atm.

Yeah still got the big markets in France, Italy and Germany to come but yeah a bit disappointed it won't hit $600M WW. Still will be the highest grossing animated film this season at least

Pitch is pretty poor though. MCG hasn't had a good Test Match Pitch in years. But I'm going tmrw so hopefully Australia can bat throughout all of Day 3.

Well I knew that being one of them $40M USD is pretty tough as I doubt it'll have as good legs as Jumanji did

$30M USD would be amazing and easily the biggest of the DCEU films here. On a sidenote I didn't realize Crazy Rich Asians did quite well over here. $17M USD is pretty impressive when its Total OS Gross is only $64M.

This is one of those sequels that is much more ambitious (I'd say it's almost as ambitious as Zootopia) so it ended up being more messy and unfocused than the first. The main story they get done right so well that it makes up for the bigger flaws this film has over the first. Sad (but understandable) that it's underperforming compared to recent Disney Animation films.

We could all just calm down at times

One thing is for sure WB will fight to make sure Aquaman 2 gets another Christmas release.

People would have been equally disappointed in Venom's Opening Weekend had the China numbers for that film came first.

Same with Australia generally on the 26th (Boxing Day) there's a traffic jam of movies being released.
