  1. For me it's about middle tier Marvel. Out of the films you listed I think it's better than all of them except Cap 1.
  2. Not really they've just been on the hate train on Captain Marvel which included wilfully misinterpreting the tracking numbers like alot of these newer Youtube accounts.
  3. Damn I really hope it's not tru............oh it's Cosmic Book News ok nvm then.
  4. Oh also thought the score was pretty good. Wished maybe there was a more recognizable "Captain Marvel theme" but it certainly wasn't as bland as alot of MCU scores can be.
  5. True though even in Australia Black Panther performed better than any other MCU film except The Avengers and Infinity War and Iron Man 3 (in USD only). I'm starting to firmly believe Captain Marvel will easily exceed $600M OS but we shall see
  6. Anything is possible but it would have to be way more frontloaded than any of the other MCU films for that to happen
  7. It's gonna be so satisfying to rewatch Iron Man later next week and then watch the post credits scene knowing how the Avengers Initiative related to Captain Marvel. I reckon the Tesseract is one of the most reoccurring MacGuffins we've had in a while. @Thanos Legion Turns out some of Shivampa's spoiler posts we saw in the Captain Marvel thread were true after all
  8. I expect a slightly bigger 2nd Weekend drop than other MCU origin movies but more cause other MCU origins don't tend to open to $150M+. At the end of the day Captain Marvel is a pretty typical MCU film with most of the strengths and weaknesses you've come to expect from an MCU film. So I don't see why legs would be particularly poor.
  9. Legit some people burst out with some really loud laughter when Captain Marvel landed in the Blockbuster. Btw the spin-off movie I need is Fury, Goose and Talos going on random adventures in the galaxy.
  10. Yeah the nice twist was that the supporting cast wasn't the Kree group she was with cause those guys were boring as hell unfortunately. But yeah as long as SJ, Ben Mendelson, Leshana Lynch and the cat that plays Goose return I'm gonna be excited for the sequel.
  11. Would be amazing if all 3 MCU films go above $600M OS this year. Captain Marvel's OS performance is making me feel more bullish about Far From Home's OS chances (though that pesky TLK stands in the way of that film).
  12. Hey I agree it's a good movie just that Audience Score =/= how audiences actually felt about the film Avatar's RT Audience Score is 82%. Wouldn't you say that's a bit low considering the box office?
  13. Yes Alita's Audience Score that has resulted in great repeating viewings at the box office oh wait.... I don't think an Audience Poll that is unverifiable is a good basis for any argument.
  14. I'd actually be pretty happy with 2.7 legs on a $160M OW. Would surpass the Domestic Totals of Wonder Woman, Iron Man 3 and Civil War.
  15. Would pretty much guarantee another $100M OW (though I think that's realistic anyways without Emma Watson).
  16. I'm sure it's gonna be really good if Cameron is fully committed to this and not paying lip service like last time. I don't think it's gonna do all that well in North America unfortunately. We'll see how China responds to this Terminator film and whether it'll be as if not more successful as Genisys was.
  17. Yeah never been convinced by Rayudu tbh and Shankar looks a good batsman. Drop Rayudu when Hardik Pandya is fit to take the all-rounder spot. Also starting to think Dhawan might be on short notice with KL Rahul waiting but then again we know how well Dhawan does in ICC Tournaments especially in England lol. Yeah Warner was by far our best ODI player and will be relieved once he comes back but still they should have chased down the 250.
  18. @Premium George how the heck did India win that match....
  19. RIP guess I'll lower my expectations to $150M max am I doing this overreaction correctly?
