The first one ended up with pretty decent likes considering how little it showed. Curious to see if this one can buck the usual 2nd trailer decrease if it has some more juicy bits.

My big question with DA2 is what the heck happened to the EA numbers. If true Th is 1.05, then overall previews could be like…1.75? In which case if they are rolled into Fri: 1.75 6.25 6.25 5.25 //19.5 However if they are separated out: .7 1.05 7 7 6 // 22 Personally I suspect: 1.75 5.75 6 5 // 18.5

But they really are though. The model is complete nonsense but it's complete nonsense that predicts 110 opening and 300M 2022 gross for avatar, not a 300M finish. -
In all seriousness wasn’t the pre-acquisition plan something like 4 theater and 2 Max per year? None of the max oriented ones are gonna meet that budget threshold for pure streaming plays, so if half die and half are shunted to theaters… 🤷♂️

So DS2 won’t even do 6x its final presales for the total run. Gotta be one of the lowest ratios in history for a normal movie.

So far I’ve liked the half hour comedy eps more than the “hour” eps on avg, but that may be entirely carried by Wanda and the period sitcom conceit. Will be interesting to see how this fares, juggling the hero/hulk stuff, law parts, and personal life all at once seems a little tricky tbh.

Well, if they all grossed the same, let’s see what they added… AEG 130M IW 126M gotg2 137M CW 107M (IM3 119M off 4.6) The problem being DS2 seems to be a little more weekday heavy than the rest.

I suppose some of the difference between LC and WSS comes down to differences in environment but I suspect LC would be at least 50% higher given equal environments.

What do these things have to do with each other? More than +150% seems pretty outlandish. WSS opened to 10M before omicron really took off.

Yeah with 6 shows out now (and neither of the next two looking likely to be home runs ( 🤞 but just being realistic)) it’s clear that some larger changes need to be made to their tv approach. If they can’t pace 6 eps well, gotta figure out an alternative to the 6 ep default. I am curious how the Halloween and Xmas specials will be received, that is one potentially interesting alternative (1 ep content chunks).
