I don’t know if this is serious, but I probably shouldn’t derail this thread, so all I can really say is that you should maybe read up on the story surrounding Amber Heard.
At this point, it seems like movie theaters are basically the only business that hasn’t been reopened yet. I’m not saying it’s a good idea, but it wouldn’t be surprising if they’re up and running again by July.
If they’re going to follow up on the epilogue where Harry, Hermoine and Ron are parents, they’d pretty much have to wait at least several more years anyway.
Faora is a character from the comics who Ursa was based on. The better question is, why did the Christopher Reeve movies bother to change her name from Faora to Ursa?
From what I understand, J.K. Rowling doesn’t want a Harry Potter 9, and since she has creative input on these movies, they would need to either persuade her, or straight up buy the rights to the entire franchise wholesale, just like when Disney bought Star Wars from George Lucas.
The team behind TFA explicitly ignored Lucas’ ideas, though. I could definitely see WB doing the same for a hypothetical Harry Potter 9, although I’m assuming that Rowling would need to completely relinquish the rights to the franchise before that.
Plenty of celebrities have said worse things about Trump. Chris Evans has made plenty of politically charged tweets throughout his career, but that didn’t hurt Marvel.
That’s what I was saying. Universal would have to be idiots to try and go with another big action movie with these characters. The Invisible Man movie with Elisabeth Moss did really well, and should be proof enough that these movies work much better as horror films with low to modest budgets, rather than big action spectacles that are part of a cinematic universe.
I’m not ruling it out, but the J.J. Abrams report from last week is currently just a rumor. At the very least, I’d rather not have J.J. Abrams involved in another franchise. He’s not the worst director, but his flaws as a storyteller were made pretty apparent in the last decade.
I’d argue that they’d have to be pretty insane to get J.J. Abrams to direct it, especially if they’re trying to go in a lighter direction. J.J. Abrams makes some pretty depressing movies.
I just mean that it’s surreal to think that a major movie is supposed be getting released in theaters in a month and a half. It feels like theaters have been closed for an eternity at this point.
