  1. I like Interstellar, but it’s not exactly surprising that it receives more scrutiny from movie watchers than Gravity. Gravity is a much more simple film (and no, I don’t mean that it’s for stupid people, I just mean that it throws significantly less shit at you), and it’s not super long or anything.
  2. Is there any honest to God reason for why they won’t just dump this thing to VoD at this point? I’ve heard people say that it’s because the Fox Marvel movies are contractually obligated to be released in theaters, but why would that be relevant at this point, if Disney now owns Fox and Marvel?
  3. I highly doubt that a company owned by Comcast would be in danger of going bankrupt from something like this.
  4. Suggesting that a $200 million Christopher Nolan movie ought to go straight to video on demand is ridiculous.
  5. This is basically the one film left this year that I’m still looking forward to, so I’d like to be able to see it in July, but if things are still looking grim by then, I can’t say I would be mad if it gets delayed. Making sure that people stay in good health is obviously more important than watching a movie.
  6. Assuming the movie keeps its current release date (and that’s a big if), should we expect to get a final trailer that’s released exclusively online?
  7. Looking at the box office for the original movie, it occurred to me that it actually made less money in North America than Star Trek: First Contact. With the way the movie is talked about, you would think it was this major 90s cultural event, but even for 1996, the box office wasn’t exactly Earth shattering.
  8. If that happens, I guess you could lump her in with Ray Porter and Peter Guinness as actors from JL who will never have the opportunity to appear as their respective characters in a finished film.
  9. Since I’m by no means an expert on the post-production process for VFX heavy movies, I’ll take your word for it, but I’m just left here imagining now, more than ever, what a nightmare the production of JL was, since that movie had extensive reshoots going on just several months before it was released.
  10. So, they never would’ve been able to make that original December 2019 release date regardless?
  11. I don’t think he’d care. From what I understand, Seth MacFarlane has no passion for Family Guy at this point, and actually wants it to end, but I guess the network won’t let that happen.
  12. Have people actually been known to call Harley Quinn a Mary Sue? Personally, I just think she’s really obnoxious and has a dumb backstory. Anyway, it’s funny that the guy with the TLJ shirt is portrayed as the more rational of the two. I guess that’s further proof that WB really isn’t interested in releasing a Snyder cut of any kind.
  13. Most definitely, but Chris Nolan is one of the few directors today whose name alone can sell a movie, so I’d hate to see this flop.
  14. That would certainly make the RedLetterMedia guys happy. Anyway, I wouldn’t rule out that happening by the end of the 2020s.
  15. If this movie does terribly, that would just be another nail in the coffin for big theatrical movies that don’t involve superheroes or Disney remakes and sequels. Unfortunately, with the large production budget this movie has, it’s definitely going to be a big risk to keep the current release date.
