  1. This is a bit of a random question, but would people have been okay with Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor if he played the character more like how he did in that Turkish Airlines ad?
  2. Wait, just to make sure I have this right, is this movie itself still filming, or have they moved on to filming the other sequels at this point?
  3. Why does anyone who’s moderately famous even bother with social media? People on hellholes like Twitter will always look for an excuse to “cancel” them no matter what. It wasn’t too long ago when people tried to “cancel” RDJ over a satirical role he played in Tropic Thunder, even though that had been common knowledge for over a decade.
  4. So, it’s going to be Blumhouse, right? Universal wouldn’t actually consider making this a big budget action movie, would they?
  5. He said it would be his last Star Wars movie, but I don’t think he said it would be his last movie in general. Still, I have serious doubts that would get him to compose a new Superman film when he’s in his 90s.
  6. It just occurred to me that if this gets made, there would be a strong possibility that Michael Giacchino would do the score for it, which I would not care for.
  7. I wouldn’t be against him writing a Superman movie. It’s J.J. Abrams who I’d have reservations on.
  8. If they were desperate to get the movie out by 2017 (which apparently was the case), then I wouldn’t have been surprised if they had done that.
  9. I didn’t say he’s a bad writer. I’m saying that not everything he’s written has been a slam dunk. In general, he seems to have a better track record with television than with movies.
  10. Christopher Nolan’s commitment to practical effects unless CGI is absolutely required (like animating a swarm of bats) will always be admirable.
  11. I’d imagine that she would’ve perhaps been their backup choice if Joss Whedon didn’t come on board.
  12. The general consensus on Damon Lindelof seems to be that he’s something of a hit and miss sort of writer, but he’d be preferable over someone like Alex Kurtzman.
  13. Come to think of it, J.J. Abrams’ movies have a tendency to be kind of dark and depressing, in addition to emphasizing big action sequences at the expense of the story, which were some pretty big complaints about MoS. I guess Abrams’ movies usually don’t have it as bad as Zack Snyder’s in that regard, but TRoS was more of a downer than I would’ve expected it to be.
  14. It would be pretty funny if Mulan misses out on getting released in theaters. Disney was obviously banking on that to be a big hit in China.
  15. Alright, I’m just going to ask it, what exactly is the deal with @make fun dorout seriousGod?
  16. It seems like every time a trailer for a movie is posted, BOT tends to be more negative about it than the rest of the Internet.
  17. After watching the trailer, I like to think that Nolan was going to call this movie “Inversion”, before he realized that three of his previous movies already have titles that begin with an “In.”
  18. I realize that this is partly due to the question of whether or not this will be the first movie in several months to be released in theaters, but it’s pretty amazing how active this thread has been.
