  1. It’s hard to believe that the Maze Runner series ended just two years ago. It feels like the YA genre has been dead for an eternity, yet a somewhat noteworthy YA franchise ended only a few months before Infinity War was released.
  2. I’m trying to think of where else in the year this could be released. The only date I can think of is October, but this seems more like a November movie. They could have this movie take GvK’s place, but then it would have to compete with a Marvel movie and a James Bond movie.
  3. Now that you mention it, it was also reportedly the idea of the movie division at WB to have Ezra Miller cameo in the Crisis on Infinite Earths CW crossover. People over there must be fond of him to have done that.
  4. Is THG held in low regard nowadays? I can’t really tell. I know the YA fad more or less fizzled out after the Divergent series crashed and burned, but THG was held in fairly high regard back in the day. It wasn’t like the Twilight franchise, where people were making fun of it from day one.
  5. If Ezra Miller was already known to assault people before this, I’d assume we would’ve heard something. I think Daley is just using the controversy as an opportunity to make fun of Miller. It seems like he’s probably still bitter about the Flash movie.
  6. Jesus Christ, not this again. I don’t even know what that is. The reason I mentioned the controversy surrounding these movies is because I figured that someone else would comment on it if I didn’t. As far as the Gal Gadot song cover thing is concerned, I brought that up in the other thread because I wanted to vent about how annoyed I was that people were making such a big deal out of it. I wasn’t trying to “concern troll” anything. I was simply making an observation about how seriously people were taking some silly video that Gadot and a bunch of other celebrities put together. I initially assumed that the video would quickly be forgotten after a couple of days, but then I saw an article about how Joe Rogan was cussing out Gadot.
  7. The Johnny Depp and Amber Heard case isn’t really conflicting. There’s actual concrete evidence to suggest that Amber Heard abused Johnny Depp, and unlike Depp, Heard actually has a prior domestic abuse arrest on her record.
  8. Would it be going too far to suggest that this whole thing wouldn’t be generating as much attention if the person being choked was a man? I’m not trying to be facetious here. I genuinely want to know if people would agree that this situation would be less controversial if it were a man being choked.
  9. I agree, and this is precisely why I despise Twitter with every ounce of my being. Every time someone mildly famous gets involved in anything controversial, no matter how big or small, there’s always a hive mind on that hellhole of a website that pushes this “#CANCELED” narrative. It just pisses me off to no end. The world would be a significantly better place right now if Twitter didn’t exist.
  10. This comment will possibly get deleted, but I’m just going to say that I don’t really think he should lose his career over this. Assaulting a fan for heckling him is obviously a bad look, but I don’t like the idea of someone being blacklisted over it, especially when other celebrities have been involved in similar incidents, and still have careers. Hell, Alec Baldwin assaulted a man less than two years ago, and people have pretty much forgotten about it now.
  11. According to some alleged sources close to Variety, the thing was the culmination of an incident at a bar where Ezra Miller was confronted by some “pushy fans”, and it ended with him being escorted off the premises. https://variety.com/2020/film/news/ezra-miller-throttling-woman-video-1234571800/
  12. It’ll be funny if Mutants are introduced to the MCU before this movie even comes out.
  13. There’s nothing wrong with October. Joker has proven that movies can do unbelievably well in that date. Anyway, we probably shouldn’t get too far off-topic. This is still the WW84 thread.
  14. In any case, WB is unlikely to move The Batman to July before Sony moves that Spider-Man movie. Anyway, I think it’s a lot more likely that The Batman gets moved to October.
  15. Did you bother reading the comment I responded to?@Spidey Freak is the one who suggested the Batman movie move to July.
  16. I’m a little ashamed that I didn’t even realize that. They should’ve scheduled it a week earlier. It would’ve been perfect.
  17. There’s a mirror universe where this movie came out today (or last night, technically).
  18. Jeez, they’re still trying to make this thing? Harrison Ford will be pushing 80 by the time this is currently set to come out. I’m sure they’ll probably try to make it a passing of the torch sort of movie, but even so, this is just ridiculous.
  19. Mulan is getting released on July 24 now? I guess it’s not just WB and Paramount who believe that this will all blow over in the Summer.
