    Law's acting and character was definitely my favourite. The only character in the movie with enough depth for me to geniunely care about.

    I'd rather watch the whole Maze Runner trilogy again than sit through War again. The last film in the trilogy is as bad as War but at least I had a little bit of fun watching it and Wes Ball's action sequences were pretty good.

    Thank god they got a director who knows he's making a blockbuster sci-fi film and not some pretentious misery drama.

    Huh, I guess the movie really benefited from discount Tuesday. Even if it performs like a family film on the weekend (which the movie doesn't seem to be), it's still looking at about a 55% drop imo.

    The movies already made 150 mil WW. Do you even know what half of 225 mil is?

    Turns out I was right when I said the score would fluctuate but I really didn't expect it fluctuate suddenly so soon and I didn't expect it drop by 30 points. Probably will go back up though and I still have a feeling the movie will get really good reviews.

    Yeah, even if it has really good reviews, I'm probably not watching it unless nothing else from next month is good (especially if A Quiet Place 2 doesn't get good reviews or something like that).

    Hype right now seems comparable to Fantasy Island imo which would probably be sub-10 mil opening (no Friday+Sunday inflation).

    Watched Wright's Anna Karenina today. I loved the theatrical gimmick of the movie but like with films like 1917, the stylistic gimmick of the film only takes away a lot from the soul of the story. And Wright doesn't completely stick to it (I get that it's meant to look less and less like a stage show as Anna gets disillusioned with the world but I wish the movie relied less on close-ups). Still, I found the theatrical gimmick to be really refershing to watch.

    I was joking. Dawn of the Dead is pretty awesome by the way. One of the best horror-action films ever along with Dog Soldiers, Predator, and Aliens.

    Most of the reactions I've read right now say it's one of Pixar's lesser films espescially when it comes to the story. It's all pretty good but the reactions don't seem Toy Story 4 or Coco good. I'm thinking mid 80% for now.

    Looking at the past few years, a 40% drop on Wednesday looks pretty high. I'd personally lean more towards 30%. Here's my prediction: 5 Tues 3.5 Wed 3.5 Thurs 82 mil first week 7.7 Fri (+120%) 13.9 Sat (+80%) 9 Sun (-35%) 30.6 2nd weekend (47.2% drop)/112.6 total

    The Invisible Man - 90/100 on critics choice (could fluctuate a lot tho, Sonic was at 40 for weeks but now at 73)

    I'm fine with more McDonagh films as long as he doesn't try to touch American politics.

    Any reason for that? If anything, Soul looks like the possible legs beast. Onward looks like a mid-tier (Monsters U, Finding Dory) Pixar film and I doubt the WoM for Onward is better than Coco which managed a 4.14x multi I'm expecting a smaller OW and worse legs for Venom 2 which should lead to sub-200 mil finish. Venom 2 only needs a 7% drop from the first film to go sub-200 mil and most non-MCU first sequels drop more than that.

    Sony's definietly coming 4th imo. None of their upcoming films are going to pass 200 mil.

    Doubt it breaks out. Sounds really good based on what I've heard but the marketing has been crap and the embargo is lifting pretty late (Tuesday night PST).
