  1. Is it worth to clash 3 big films for just 2 holidays? I think releasing one of them in November would have been better.

  5. Liked it. Baby Yoda is instant win. Anyways, when Season 1 released, I was having a really positive mood and time. This gives me that same comfort. Winter is coming. I am ready.
  6. Alright, it has 200mn budget right. Put another 125mn for marketing, 50-60mn for rest. That will be 375-385mn cost. It will get 150-175mn range from TV may be more. Regarding theatrically China: 65 * 21.5% : 14 OS: 235-250 * 50% : 117-125 Dom: 85 * 60% : 50 Total: 181-189mn That's 331-364mn revenue. It need 20-45mn from Home Media and VOD. Don't think it will be much of hassle. WB will most likely break even. The problem is exhibitors in US, Korea and few other markets will be on loss. Film is certainly not Flop, Average-Above Average.
  7. In incomplete data, TENET in Quebec has grossed C$271,943 in 2490 shows with 25,833 admits. That's C$109 per show. I guess so far there has been 75-80k shows in Canada till 09/13. That will give about C$8-8.7mn or $6.1-6.6mn. Co-incidently, my estimates are $6.45mn, that's right in the middle of the range 😛 Spongebob has C$94k in 1604 shows. C$59 per show. I think it had around 90k shows approx. That will be C$5.3mn. Official number is C$5.25mn Approx.

Last week was 57% of Interstellar and was trailing 18% behind. Interstellar did 2.63x after its 3rd Weekend while Dunkirk did 4x. I think it will closer to Dunkirk. That will give it a shot at £17.5mn. 84% of Interstellar. I don't think that's bad by any measure.
  9. When can we expect digital release of 800? You told me it will be sooner than Ne Zha, is there any update.
  10. There seems like a big local film on 25th. ¥1.1mn pre-sales for OD 10 days out. 480k interested on Maoyan. Name is Leap.
  11. I think it will be better if they go for digital release soon and get those home media & PVOD money in USA. If this make $25mn in PVOD, that will be really great.
  12. Looks decent to me. Not really happy with messing up of FSS as weekend but guess now all of Latin America has TFSS, so that's fine too.
  13. Agree on The Boys @lorddemaxus. I hope you see the film I suggested this week.

  16. then why bothering releasing numbers at all? keep them blocked. they aren't shielding the numbers, they are shielding the box office details from other studios.
  17. It is possible. Will depend on Japan and Latin America and need to continue these holds in Europe. @Carlangonz @Purple Minion what can we expect in Mexico? Nolan don't seem hot in Latin America, but can really use $25-30mn.
  18. I don't get WB blocking CS for people to see the numbers, and then revealing them officially as usual. CS numbers are used by the studios to plan how and where to release their film. Hiding that isn't serving anyone the purpose. What's the point of having the service with high subscription cost when you aren't getting the data which is needed. Also, Either don't give number at all or give them properly. When they give 6.7mn weekend, is it hard to guess what were the dailies?
