This is the MCU. You are nuts if you think that they are going to showcase one their original Avengers in an R-rated film. Also, there is no evidence that this is undisputably not going to smash. In fact, I am inclined to believe that Marvel can definitely create a great marketing narrative around the long-awaited BW film with simple sentiments like "finally" "it's about time" or "this summer, she is on her own"... I would simply not discount this film.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I imagine that they will bring in obscure DC villains to become expendable in the film's narrative, but if I were Gunn, I would certainly kill one or two that nobody expected to die. Like I said in my last post, I would probably have the entire cast die, and only save KIller Frost and Vixen ---and Bronze Tiger [thanks, @Spidey Freak!--- because I feel that those three have the most potential to break out and become audiences' favorites (also because I truly believe that Vixen could carry her own solo film).

Zoe Saldana= Vixen Karen Gillan = Killer Frost Dave Batista = King Shark Chris Pratt = Count Vertigo Vin Diesel = Shrapnel Bradley Cooper = Punch Pom Klementieff= Jewelee Make it an R film (like a film with the title "Suicide Squad" should be anyway) and have all characters die ---except Vixen, King Shark, and Killer Frost (who ends up being the actual villain villain of the film, but manages to escape in the end)...

"hard-boiled chase thriller set against a wildfire in the Montana wilderness .... There is no studio yet, but this is a hot property that will land quickly." As long as they pitch it as "Angelina Jolie is back in action (literally)", studios will be lining up to get distribution rights to this film. It has been far too long since we have seen Angelina in an action-heavy thriller, and I think that audiences will respond favorably to that.

Still a failure, especially seeing how confident and sure you were about the film not making over 35 million. Mostly because you made that club just to spite someone else, not because you had any intelligent, critically mindful assessment of the film's prospects or any interest in analyzing the film as a box office performer. Your reasoning was "Napoleon likes this actress that I hate, so I will create this club just to make him mad" And your club failed.

What I don't understand about this site is...why do some people are so bothered by Napoleon's stanning of Jlo? How does that impact you (you know who you are) negatively? Can't people just let people enjoy what they enjoy without spreading their miserable negativity and trying to bring that person (who enjoys what they enjoy) down?

Someone actually tried to downplay Aquaman's megasuccess by saying it was only so big worldwide because of China? That's petty AF. Also...I am so glad that MPR came, saw, and did not conquer. The film was awful. Oh, and Escape Room's drop...WTF? This little 9-million dollar film seems like it might end up grossing 55-60 million dollars. When will they announce ER2?

Me, on the other hands, thinks that the long wait for what should have been the MCU's first solo female movie will be indirectly responsible for the films success. I think that, if Marvel plays its cards rights and uses the tortuously, frustratingly long journey of the BW film on its way to screens, they can definitely turn it into an event.

Hollywood is not a charity. There is nothing inherently wrong about trying to squeeze every penny from a franchise that is losing steam. Hell, the FF franchise itself was in decline after the third film when they decided to revitalize it, and it led to a great resurgence for the series. I am all for this potential all-female or at least more female-centric FF film...

"based on a pitch they recently heard from writers Nicole Perlman, Lindsey Beer and Geneva Robertson-Dworet." I am sold already. I would love to see a Gisele-centric film, but since she is dead, I don't know how that might work (a prequel?). But damn, it would be awesome to have the girls of the franchise take the reins for once. Bring back Cipher, dammit. Wasn't she revealed to be the overarching villain of the last three FF films?

It would be fantastic in my opinion if, after completing a WW trilogy, Patty was given the keys to the Superman kingdom. She would probably do a much much better job than everyone else who has tried before (except for Donner, of course). As for WW 3, yes yes a million times yes. Bring in Circe to showcase the last of the three best known WW villains, and then on to Superman.

Roma is a great film. I cannot believe that so many self-anointed "film buffs" are dismissing it as 'boring' and 'unexciting.' Oh, well, maybe if it had had car chases, superpowers, and a messy third-act fight full of badly executed CGI... So glad that Blunt was snubbed for her overrated cine-cosplay in MPR, So glad that Close will most likely get her Oscar, but so pissed that Toni Colette was ignored in Hereditary
