    Totally agree. As amazing as these numbers are this really should have been making BatB numbers if not more if it had more breathing room and better marketing. Really shows the power of the IP.

    This is the highest second Monday for a Memorial day release film from the looks of it. Beat out the 4.15m of PotC: At Worlds End by a hefty margin. Bodes well for a 22m+ weekend.

    I dont think so. It's based off one of the older Disney IPs and Jungle Book has been the only one that's broken out of those. Unless its a 90s/Renaissance Disney remake, I'm expecting mediocre performances.

    Agreed. Only other films that could maybe take it down are the Eternals or Mulan, but I still think its Wonder Woman's year.

    It will also be more presale heavy than a monster movie as this is more of a fan driven film. I don't see anything indicating that this is opening higher than 40m lol.

    Watched it a second time last night. Its honestly funny how much better this is than the BatB remake.

    Yeah it technically should have beaten Beauty and the Beast and I expected it to when it was first announced but considering all the consistent misteps Dinsey has made with this film, this is still a surprisingly good result.

    People in this topic seem way too defensive when it comes to anything that can even be slightly perceived as a negative slight to Endgame. Like chill. It's made so much damn money that people shouldn't feel the need to defend its internet honor lol. We all know it was a huge success with great word of mouth for the most part but the guy talking about how it probably didn't have a lot of replay value to people not invested in the MCU did have a point and to dismiss it with laughing gifs is silly.
