I will wait until 2nd weekend to judge Avatar 2 but now the word-of-mouth locally is hyperpositive online. -
That basically means just 15%-20% drop after its full OD. Is this the sign of legs?

The movie is great!!! If you blend unprecedented level of VFX and touching family drama, Boom! Great word-of-mouth incoming!

Funny of all, the slowdown actually took place before review drops, so people can't blame not passionately positive review.

To me this is like Elvis on a much bigger scale. I remember Elvis was pointing to a $35m~$40m at one point before cooling off to $30m but eventually leg out beautifully.

Why not we collectively agree to wait until 2nd weekend to see if there is developing serious great legs before panic? If the first movie left no cultural phenomenon, then we should just treat this movie like every other original movie, right? -

Yes, the Covid-19 fear in China is genuinely intense with millions of millions are imposing self-lockdown and isolation. Everyone have to keep in this mind in regard to A2's China BO potential.
