    Really happy for Sonic, but at the same time sad that it hurted The Batman. Hoping that it cross that 120M mark, but I guess it's at least passing FFH..?

    Honestly... I could not agree more. The major thing for me going into this movie will be if he scores with Queenie or not, which tells how terrible and not relatable the other aspects of this franchise are.

    That is impossible at this point, Italy is locked for that 10th spot. I am happy Brazil is 6th, could be even higher with a better currency ratio, the dollar is rapidly decling over here.

    The Batman numbers in Mexico are really impressive (here in Brazil is too). Maybe the sequel could do gangbusters?

    He is just comparing similar movies and giving context to the numbers. He does that to every big movie released, I understand that Luiz is sorf of a "hype guy", but I really dont see the problem with it.

    Maybe the comeback of Dragon Ball Super could stop this trend? Here in Brazil DB is still highly popular even with under-20 demo.

    TDKR actually did 42M in South Korea that is pretty good if you ask me, it's not MCU event film level but its really solid. The thing about TDKR in China is true, but that tells more about the nature of each movie than about the character of Batman lacking popularity. Also 50M would definitely happen in China without Covid and the 20M from South Korea probably too (although I am less sure).

    Is that really true? Because TDK and TDKR did good to pretty good in Korea. Also TDKR did 52M 10 years ago, that was very good too. They are not as Batman friendly as Europe and Latin America, but this is an exaggeration IMO.

    China is with almost half of the theaters closed right now, the Covid lockdown is highly hurting the movie. It would probably be a 60M grosser in normal times. But I agree with DC being more "Asian friendly", they could make a couple of movies with more CGI and spectacle focus to boost the DC brand there, that would probably benefit all their movies there after a while. Batman is just not the character for it.
