  1. First half boring, second half fun. The Rock does not deserve a shout out in an action film lol. Hannah Waddingham MVP. Ryan looks gorgeous.
  2. The second half was pretty fun, the first half was pretty boring. It overstays its welcome a bit. 3/5
  3. I seen that yesterday, $2-3m more in profit than Scresm 5. Although these Deadline things are ridiculous now “includes the $70m Disney paid itself to put the film on Disney+” lol
  4. The Fall Guy not looking very busy tonight. 30 seats sold in the 440 seater IMAX.
  5. Yeh so did I. If it did $7m domestically last weekend and only needs $11m more worldwide to pass $100m, it’ll definitely get there with ease.
  6. Excellent for Challengers. That buzz and WOM are spreading fast. Hopefully it doesn’t have too big a Wednesday and Thursday drop.
  7. Updated the international gross: $33,700,000 for $89.9m worldwide so far.
  8. And are Challengers and Civil War really that mainstream? Or are they basically arthouse films in 3500 cinemas. As a film fan, I’m loving 2024 though.
  9. Those pictures got 100k+ likes on instagram really fast. Could it be another Crawdad’s sized hit?
  10. -56.6% is an excellent Monday hold after an already impressive first Sunday hold. Nice.
  11. I haven’t seen a thing for Garfield yet, but this film is relentless.
  12. Haha true, it’s holds have been good, 2nd weekend drop -30% 3rd weekend drop -25% Must be good WOM somewhere.
  13. Glad Challengers got the #1 spot. Some excellent holds. Back to Black will be over £10m this week then, only falling -25% in weekend 3 shows good WOM.
  14. Yeh Uniqlo, Aston Martin, Nike, Addidas, GatorAde, Wilson. They probably offset a good chunk of the budget with it. But it never felt gratuitious, because they’re playing Tennis so there are sponsors all over the place in real tennis.
  15. The First Omen passed $50m at least, glad international audiences are showing up for it in some way. Back to Black already has $16m too. Most of it from here in the UK of course.
  16. What do you think then, that every person talking about the film…. Didn’t watch it? Even what happened with Murder on the Dancefloor should give you an idea of Saltburn’s impact. https://deadline.com/2024/01/saltburn-prime-video-viewership-emerald-fennell-interview-1235699569/amp/ Trigger Warning: there’s some data from Amazon included in there too.
  17. Are you honestly trying to insinuate that…. Saltburn wasn’t a success? were you asleep for the whole of November, December and January?
  18. More nonsense from you this weekend. You didn’t think for a second these films were opening to $40m and $70m. Also, Saltburn was everywhere. A pop culture moment. The zeitgeist. It wasn’t a one-weekend wonder either. America isn’t the only market.
  19. Nice hold for Godzilla vs Kong. Dreadful second weekend drop for Spy x Family (-80%).
  20. It’s ok but Jesus Revolution (which looks like the same film) opened to more than double that last year. Great hold for Abigail, -49%.
