So I’m guessing $10-13m for Monkey Man and $6-7m for The First Omen.
Pretty depressing for both. Especially considering they’re 86% and 84% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Yeh I still maintain that reviews like this would’ve helped more earlier this week or preferably last week. Horrors have walk ups regardless.
I think Disney struggle to realise internally when they have a good horror film on their hands.
Low 30’s for The First Omen according to Deadline.
Monkey Man’s budget was $10m, but Netflix paid $30m for it in 2021, not sure how much Universal paid for it.

lol. Does it have any market still going to get over the $100m line?
No change for Immaculate on Tuesday, nice. Wonder if the $6.66 ticket gimmick will help avoid a big Wednesday drop. I imagine The First Omen looking like a similar subject might have a big impact this weekend.
Yeh I can’t say that they’re “good” but the second was better than the first, although it was way too long.
Hoping this one goes to cinemas here for a change, as it would be fun to see with a crowd.
I’d be interested to see if a sequel to Ghostbusters 2016 would’ve make more than this one. after 8 years of nostalgia. I certainly haven’t gone to see this or the last one; purely because they’re not linked to the 2016 film.
Wasn’t talking about budget, clearly said “number of people”. Which for this is glaringly less, especially after 8 years of inflation and PLF’s.
Well they’ve gone in a different direction and the films have consistently decreased, so you might have a point lol.
