  1. True and they don't get the flag flown at half mast at the White House like now.

  3. Yeah I saw it coming as soon as she showed up on screen, but since i heard a lot of gasps and surprised noises in my showing, I can't say it wasn't done well since it obviously worked on a lot of people. I was shocked to hear so many people seem surprised though.
  4. Still tired from being at the marathon last night, so this will be brief. It was a very good movie. They found a good way to sew up all the storylines and keep Gotham safe with another protector. Bane was incredible as I knew he would be knowing his character from the comics. Catwoman was very good as well. I loved the ending and can't wait to see the movie again. A

  6. Looks great, but I doubt I will be getting it. I have at least 3 of the films already on blu ray so I may have to pass...which sucks
  7. Possibly the "worst" of the 3. I go back and forth about it. I take the sequels for what they are but overall, while fun, they came up short for me. B-
  8. Not bad for a sequel. I enjoyed the movie and it had some decent parts to it, but it never captured the what the original did. B
  9. I just consider this movie an homage to the original film and almost a complete remake. Brandon Routh is ok doing a complete impression of Christopher Reeve, and Kevin Spacy is fine as Lex Luthor, but after that, there isn't much else. Basically using the same exact storyline from the first film, the movie just felt generic since there wasn't anything that stood out. Yes, I wasn't crazy about the kid idea either, but even without that, the film just didn't have much going for it. C
  10. And this is where Superman got "political" with the anti-nuclear war idea. Interesting idea for the movie, but it never really worked out in the end. The creating a bad guy from Superman's DNA and him having Gene Hackman's voice in a bad voiceover was just not a good idea. C
  11. This is where the series started to go downhill. As much as I can find humor and even enjoy this movie for what it is, the film is not all the good. It was using the idea of how computers were getting more and more ingrained into the world as did many of the 80's movies, but it really didn't work. As much as i like Richard Pryor, this was called Superman III, not untitled Richard Pryor comedy. C+
  12. I liked the idea of the movie but you could tell that they changed directors but it still holds together. While there are some off scenes, overall, it is still a good movie. The addition of Zod and his crew was a nice touch. I have it a bit below the original, but still good. I give it a B+, possibly an A-
  13. At one point, this was easily the best superhero movie around. Christopher Reeve was the perfect choice and Gene Hackman is..well he's Gene Hackman, what else needs to be said about him? Great effects for the time and it was just a great, fun movie to watch as a kid. Easily an A
  14. Wow, this is tough as I don't really remember any of the music from either movie. :-pThat's a shame because I liked both films. I need a both or neither option

  17. for chasmmi:without giving anything away, let's just say that Gwen Stacy and the Green Goblin have a huge story in the comics so it would not be unexpected if the Green Goblin shows up

  19. I enjoyed this movie. I didn't expect to as much since the other franchise finally gave me my favorite superhero a grand entrance to the big screen. However, for me, this movie did some things better, but overall still about the same. I felt the main 2 actors were definitely a step up. They had instant chemistry. I also felt that the swinging through the city was done better. Yes CGI has gotten better and they did some more practical effects as well, but it really felt like a person was there with actually weight. That is not a shot to the first series, those were beautiful too. The biggest "complaint" I have about the movie was there is not a resounding "theme" as with most hero movies. You remember the Superman theme, or any of the main Batman themes, even the Spiderman themes. But while the score worked with every scene, there wasn't a stand out piece of music. Overall, I think they hit everything they needed to do and it sets up a franchise pretty well. B+, possibly an A-

  21. Or they are afraid to admit it. But I just saw this last night. I am not going to say it was a great film, but surprisingly I had fun watching it. The use of the vampires to help show how US history at that time occurred was interesting enough. Again, not the best story or acting, but overall, it was a decent watch and I wasn't upset about seeing it. Besides how can someone not enjoy Honest Abe chopping vampire's heads off and having a combo ax/gun C+
