I saw this last night, but was too tired to post :PThe movie has great visuals and the acting is well done. The story is nothing like any other of the Alien series and really this is more of a companion to the series than more of a direct prequel. Yes it has some of the Alien elements and references, but do not expect full on double mouthed aliens running after Ripley. So really no one needs to have any of the other in the series to get this movie. As shown in the trailers, it is a story of how the human race came to be. I wont' say too much more yet since the movie isn't out everywhere yet.I give the movie a B+, possibly an A-

But that is not everyone's opinion. I didn't vote for it, but if Shrek 3 wasn't there, I probably would have picked SS from the rest, or at least really thought about doing so.

I saw this opening day and while it was entertaining enough to watch, it was kind of bland and just there. I liked it enough and may even see it again, but it was too long and really anti-climatic. No one was great in their roles, but they weren't terrible either. That is basically the whole movie to me, just nothing memorable. I would give it a B/B- just for the visuals.

This was the 2nd part of my mediocre double feature yesterday. Very few parts of it were funny, It wasn't a bad movie, just nothing all that great either. C

It was what it was. Terrible acting, cheesy, etc, etc. Basically what it was advertised to be and that is not a bad thing, but it wasn't all that good either.Other than the older veterans getting involved, there wasn't much else.I give it a C just for some dumb fun.

I like all 3, but I have to go with ID4 as my favorite
