I just rewatched Spider-Man 3 this week as well. I haven't seen it in years. While I wouldn't call it a masterpiece, it wasn't near the travesty I recalled and was a decent movie. Also... anyone else surprised at the PTA for Detroit? I mean, sure it wasn't in 5 theaters, but given the critical reception, I was expecting more. Or am I just crazy? 19k PTA seems weak to me. -
Belko. I honestly have not a clue what Raw even is.

I was tempted by the initial reviews, but then I heard kinda poor things, so I passed. I might still catch it at some point on DVD if the chance comes up. The trailers certainly looked promising.

Anyone notice that Annabelle:Creation is off to a swimming start on RT... 100% after the first 10 reviews. Looks like another win for 2017 horror, and the conjuring franchise! The Conjuring looks to be a franchise that just can't stop... barring the first Annabelle that is... lol

So where did that new girl go? I didn't see her in the trailer, and they made her seem like she was about to become a staple character in the second film... I am glad she is gone, I am was not a huge fan of her, or that song they tried to make happen... flashlight is never gonna happen. I loved the first, the second was fine, but not great. I really hope this is on par with the first.

Have you not read any of the reactions thus far? From people who have actually seen the movie, it sounds like there is plenty that has not been spoiled... add in what looks to be a massive critical success, and I feel like Spidey could really bring it... especially if it really is as good as SM2, if not better. Now if you have seen the movie and are saying everything is spoiled, then you might have a point, but I am going in expecting some surprises.

The Box Office Buzz and Tracking Thread: Electric Boogaloo

It's doing relatively well here as well. Even the 10PM show in the IMAX is at about 25%, which is surprising given the lateness of the show. -
Well this was rough... I loved every moment where it felt like a horror film, especially when we get the first glimpse of the mummy with the two security guards... it was fantastic. Unfortunately, I totally agree that tonally the film is all over the place, which makes the jokes never land, and the horror never really reach any kind of peak because it's always being interrupted by some lame one liner that feels so out of place. The action was fantastic, so I wasn't completely bored, but it definitely felt like I was thrown into a blender for two hours. C-

Any kind of estimate would be fine by me... Jesus it's taking forever. I wonder if Disney is holding back so they can figure out how to shift some dough over to the pirates chest to save some image... or maybe they are creating some unique estimates to grab the headlines, only to disappoint us all on Tuesday.

The LEGO Batman Movie (2017)
Kalderic replied to Ezen Baklattan's topic in Review That Movie! (Spoilers Allowed)
Eh... I was let down. It's beautiful to look at, but it was just lacking something... still not sure what. I barely laughed and actually got bored at times. Maybe I'm just getting old and cranky. C
