    Not bad numbers at all! should be a good week for IO and JW. It will be interesting to see how big of a hit they take this weekend. Any kind of impact will seem lessened by the fact that saturday was so dismal this past weekend.

    Dont be surprised to see it fall more than 50% next weekend... Avengers fell another 46% its third weekend, and that wasnt coming off an inflated fathers day, nor was it facing any competition. Granted, this movie bucks trends, but still, it would be completely expected if it fell more than 50%.

    Inside out sold out 14/15 shows. Only two of those were 3-D. JP sold out 4/6 2-D shows, 0/3 3-D, and 2/5 IMAX... substantially lower than last weekend, but totally expected. Honestly, IO was the biggest surprise.

    well, JP slowed down a lot at my theater thus far compared to last weekend. Obviously we were looking at a decline but business today is not much higher than yesterday. Inside out though is killing it. All shows until 10 are sold out... so thats 11 total.

    A lot of summer schools run through June, but get out for the month of July. Its a small number of kids, but its enough to have a slight impact.

    Holy Jesus fucking christ.... this is literally the most exciting weekend at the box office I have witnessed in my 10+ years of following the BO.

    Just throwing out there, this 750M adjusted number for JP everyone keep talking about is including the 3D re-release, so technically, wouldnt that number be a lower? JW still wont beat it, but claiming the original grossed that much initially isnt completely accurate.

    I loved it. It is exactly what I want from a big summer movie. Nothing more, but nothing less. The CGI worked for me, and the end fight is super fucking awesome. seriously. It was totally worth it and I want to see it again. A-

    Well, its undoubtedly great, but to put some perspective on it, this theater is the only imax within 3 hours, and it is the cheapest theater in town, and is also the only theater in town that is completely recline seating. So it almost always sells out before the other theaters... but still... All shows were sold out yesterday, so its on par with that, but seeing as thats the best it can do, there is no telling what it could wind up with today.

    just got back, movie is amazing, theater is a mess. There are currently 14% of the seats left for the 11PM 2D showing. All 9 showing between now and then are sold out. holy fuck. Manager has never seen anything like it.

    currently the shows between 7 and 10 are filling quickly, the 5:10 and 5:45 shows are about 1/3 full right now. But the earlier shows sold out about two hours before showtime, so I expect them to start picking up here soon. at this rate though, all the 2D and Imax shows past 7 will be sold out in about an hour or two. The 3D shows today were a little over 50%, so clearly people are around here are just choosing to wait for the 2D or IMAX.

    My theater is sold out of Imax and 2D showings until 5... this is crazy.

    Why not? If theaters are all selling out, it pushes business from one day to the next. Sunday could have a fantastic hold just because there are still people who havent seen it due to sell outs. I think a really good sunday drop wouldnt be surprising given how massive this thing has become.

    whoa, what a number to see first thing in the morning! this is fantastic! I question whether or not it will get to 150M for the weekend, but the June OW record is certainly going down.

    Solid. I think my biggest complaint would be that I felt as if I had seen almost all of the funny stuff through out the marketing material that has been released, but it was still entertaining to see it all in context. Would be worth a few more viewings if I were to be presented with the chance. B+

    the trailer looks awesome. Im pretty sold. I do love movies like this though, so I am bias.

    A little disappointing for Spy, but it will Leg its way out to a pretty good number. Too bad that early 10M estimate for SA wasnt real. lol but lets just be real for a second, it was never going to be right. Good for most of the holdovers.

    So essentially, despite its hefty drop, SA still beat entourage for the day w/o previews. Seems really bad.

    great number for SA! With thursday shows taken out, that is a great increase!
