Hey Civil War crossed Deadpool on Saturday and is now the highest grossing film of the year that's something positive. unless if Dory does TS3 numbers (I don't think it will at this point). CW will probably be the highest grossing film of the year until Rogue One comes out.
Um.. yes it was, it opened to $57m and had over a 3.1x multiplier and was about a character hardly anyone knew about, it helped that it had a fairly modest budget, but it made over $500m ww in the end. considering they are doing a sequel, there is no way to look at it but a resounding success for Marvel.
As much as love Superhero films, we appear to be in a creative drought for tentpole films, almost every "original" big-budget film seems to be worse on plot and originality than the done over and over again superhero film. maybe studios will finally allow creative films to be made with a bigger budget. Superhero fatigue is definitely setting in, with the MCU being the only one managing to stay on top.(and Deadpool) they are going to have to keep making really great films if they want to keep it that way.

Hey everyone, my sis and bro-in-law and all their kids are leaving on Sunday. and I will be back to resuming the countdown then, sorry for such a long delay. I thought maybe I would have time to trickle some in in-be-tween, but that didn't work out. anyways thanks for your patience.
I'm not sure I've ever disagreed with critics more on a film I loved pretty much every second of this movie. it's incredible, flawed? sure could a few characters been more development? maybe. was some of it maybe a tiny bit cheesy? yes. but I don't care I loved it. Magneto is soo soo so amazing. and Charles mmm.. and they finally got Jean right! she was my favorite newcomer so amazing! and of course Quicksilver. this movie may have been the most fun I had at the movies all year possibly better than Civil War A+
I enjoyed the first hour or so. but it is so long and really confusing. I probably need to watch it again, but I'm not looking forward to that so I don't know when that will be.
is this seriously the highest ranking animated film on the list? (or has Toy Story shown up) I honestly do not understand the appeal to this movie, it's so freakin boring.
I think there is a chance WW could gross more than JL. especially because I think it's going to gross a ton regardless of how good it is. because well, it's Wonder Woman. so if it's bad...
