  2. Oh Yeah I know, but at least it looks like the cast got along with each other, too bad they didn't have a good movie to work with. I feel bad for Ben, he really gave it his all.
  3. Unlikely, it's opening against Passengers, and a week after Rogue One $20m/$70m would be my guess. that song in the trailer pretty much killed its chances at the BO. and while I liked some of the trailer. certain scenes were giving off PoP vibes. why doesn't hollywood just move forward with that Uncharted movie already, it's the most movie like video game ever.
  4. Does someone high up in Hollywood have an agenda to make sure all video game movies bomb? that trailer was really intriguing until they ruined it with that god awful music. I couldn't even pay attention to the footage after that what the fuck are they thinking?
  5. Captain America: Civil War A+ 10 Cloverfield Lane A+ Zootopia A The Jungle Book A Risen A Kung Fu Panda 3 A- Deadpool B+ Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice B Pride and Prejudice and Zombies B
  6. absolute favorite scenes in bold. TPM: The beginning, Qui-Gon using his lightsaber to cut through the blast doors. Qui-Gon Obi-Wan and Jar Jar going through the planet core is an amazing underated action sequences I know it's incredibly corny but the scene when Anakin first mets Padme was quoted and reenacted over and over by me and my sisters and I know it by heart and it has nostalgic value. The dinner table scene, same reason as above ^ Anakin slave house was super cool looking. The Pod Race is pretty fun Duel of the Fates Padme infiltrating the Theed Palace and capturing Nut Gunray Victory Celebration AOTC: Zam's chase Obi-Wan vs Jango on Kamino Anakin's speeder bike search for Shimi The Battle in the Area Clone Battle Duel with Dooku Fantastic final ROTS: Did you ever hear of the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise? Palpatine reveals himself as a Sith Lord to Anakin Obi-Wan's Final showdown with Grievous Order 66 Thunderous Applause/Anakin's Dark Deeds Yoda vs Palpatine/Anakin vs Obi-Wan You were the Chosen one Death and Rebirth A New Hope (basically the last 30 minutes is amazing) ANH: Opening Sandcrawler Help Me Obi-Wan Kenobi, your my only hope Ben rescues Luke Tales of the Jedi Binary Sunset - force theme (the very essence of what makes star wars, star wars, possibly my favorite scene in film ever) Cantina Scene You've taken your first step into a larger world That's no moon! Aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper? Trash Compactor Vader Vs Obi-Wan (for emotional value, actual dual is worst in the series) Tie fighter attack Death Star attack Throneroom March ESB: Wampa Cave Escape Han rescues Luke and slices open a Tuntun Why you stuck-up, scruffy looking nerf herder! Battle of Hoth Luke Meets Yoda The Asteroid Field/this is no cave Do or do not there is no try (another all time favorite movie scene) Only What you take with you Frozen in Carbonite Duel With Dark Lord on Bespin/Bespin escape Leia, hear me! Final ROTJ: comes later.
  7. Aren't they still in the middle of their second quarter though? (April-June?)
  8. Um there is, I made it. knock yourself out. Walt Disney Studios total domination over $3b domestic 2016 club
  9. I've seen Rear Window, I loved it, and Psycho, which is why I was so throw back by how boring Vertigo was. been meaning to check out North by Northwest for a while now though.
  10. But it's mostly just pre 70s movies. I love almost all the dark thrillers and dramas I've seen from the 1970s era like, The Godfather, Apocalypse Now, The Deer Hunter, Badlands. and of course I love Star Wars and Superman.
  11. A lot of older movies on these lists, many of which I still need to see, I'm funny about them, it's kind of hard for me to get into them, I usually don't end up hating them, but I watched them hearing they are some of the best films ever and most of the time I'm like that was good but not amazing (It Happened one Night), but then occasionally I'll find one I love like Psycho or Ben-Hur, start getting into them.. and then I watch Vertigo and find it incredibly underwhelming. and thus, sludge through them at a slow pace.
  12. Okay guys I just turned in my last assignment for school, should finish the scoring tomorrow, and begin the countdown tomorrow night!
  13. Because there are, too many animated films, will almost certainly cause a decrease in quality and demand. and aside from Disney, Pixar and DreamWorks (sometimes). and WB's Lego movies (first one anyways). they are mostly kiddy fare with little quality value aside from surface entertainment, if even that. we don't need any more Norm of the North's or Happy Feets oversaturating the market and tainting the brand. that way when they do come out it is an event and sometimes an excellent one at that (Zootopia, Inside Out ect...)
  14. No, they have plenty, maybe even too many. wish they would make more 2D animated films though, especially Disney.
  15. Was going to say they probably aren't worth enough for marvel to buy back from Fox, but since you mention the skrulls and Silver Surfer they might be, but that would work in an Avengers movie. I still do not see even marvel releasing a film with character so tarnished by four (lol) bad films so soon. unlike Spider-Man who had 2 beloved movies, before Disney made the deal with sony. also Fox is probably not going to share with Disney. Sony did that out of desperation, and Fox is probably in the second or third best shape behind Disney right now in terms of properties. so it would have to be a clear buyout and Fox probably would ask a pretty penny for it. the thing is marvel still might be able to last through phase 4 without them. and by the time phase 5 comes around (if it does). they will be running out of ideas anyways and it will be a perfect time to take advantage of them.
  16. Guess the gross of the phase three films gross: 2016: Captain America: Civil War (currently in theaters) $470m 2016: Doctor Strange $200m 2017: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 $425m 2017: Spider-Man: Homecoming $300m 2017: Thor: Ragnarok $230m 2018: Black Panther $240m 2018: Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 $500m 2018: Ant-Man and the Wasp $190m 2019: Captain Marvel $220m 2019: Avengers: Infinity War Part 2 $650m
  17. I highly doubt that even if Marvel did get the rights back to FF, they would make yet another stand alone film so soon. put them in an Avengers film first or maybe even a Spider-Man movie, for one thing they have to get them back first (which is very possible at this point) but I really don't think Fox is willing to share like Sony, they have way too much going for them right now. so we may be waiting until the rights revert back, which I'm not sure when that would be 2019? 2020? that is if fox doesn't cameo them in an X-Men or Dead-pool movie (which I'm not sure if that would count or not).
  18. I realised Marvel already has 3 release slots for 2020. May 1st, July 10th and Nov 6th. any guess what these are? does marvel even know at this point? My guesses are May 1st GOTG 3, July 10th, Spider-Man sequel, Nov 6th Black Widow. (Doctor Strange 2 is a possibility too though). I would really like to see a Vision/Scarlet Witch movie after seeing what they did with them in Civil War, that could be really interesting. maybe even incorporate them into a Doctor Strange movie and have Scarlet Witch journey to the underworld to resurrect Quicksilver or something.
  19. Civil War would have to have like a 2.2x multiplier to not hit $400m. it was locked for that ow. no way it is getting under a 2.4x multiplier.
  20. Alice will do much more than $500m WW. it will probably do $500m internationally alone.
  21. It depends on how well the previous films are recieved, Civil War was coming off Ultron.. now since CW is probably the most avengers centric film before the next Avengers and people loved it, it can do nothing but help Infinity Wars. call me crazy but I still think Infinity Wars part 2 has a shot at $700m.
  22. How? it's OW is over $10m less than AoU and it's monday is already over AoU's. that looks like good holding power to me.
