But he's 100% correct though. He's just passionate about the genre and wants it to be better. It's not like he threw anyone under the bus (Scorcese shot first).
Yeah, I hate the idea of dragging down a popular character in order to build up a new or replacement character. I didn't necessarily get that vibe with Logan but it seems to be a trend lately.
I've been out of town and haven't had the chance to see this yet. I was going to go this evening with a friend who was nice enough to wait until I got back, but now he has to postpone until Tuesday. I'm debating going without him but I do feel a little obligated to wait now.

It's starting to become obvious that anything short of a full fledged reboot for DC is gonna be too little too late. This brand is toxic when a Flash movie with at least 2 Batmans can't even open more than a Transformers movie in 2023.
Honestly, I'm at a loss for how bad Flash is doing. Who had Flash opening under Transformers on their bingo card? Certainly not me. Outside of a few exceptions just about every major release has underperformed so far this year. Studios need to really rethink their streaming strategy. Disney and WB in particular because audiences are catching on.
