  1. That's one damn in-depth way to report on a movie. I really like the grading scale.
  2. Seems like the Hobbit will beat it at least a couple times. It's inched up. Once we get closer to TDKR opening though, I'm sure it'll run away with it again.
  3. What's with all the Button hate? I thought it was beautifully made and had a great story with awesome acting from Pitt.
  4. So I honestly think TDKR has a shot at a BP nod for next year.. what with the snubbing of TDK being the sole reason to force them to change the layout of BP nominations. So it's not that far fetched to me. BUT what I can't see it is a Director Nomination for Nolan... AGAIN.Anyone think he has a shot at a nomination? If Avatar can get Cameron a director's nom, why can't TDKR (if it lives up to the quality we are hoping for) get one? Especially after TDK and Inception?

  6. New.On a side note, damn this guy is underappreicated. Why do we only hear about Nolan and Cameron constantly? Where is Fincher's name during these discussions???
  7. Films seen in JanThe Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2nd viewing; first of the year)Mission Impossible 4The Grey... that's it. I only go for films, I look forward to. I have a family, so it's difficult to just get up and go.Up next: Chronicle.
  8. The Grey 7:30PM Showing 20% full or so; crowd was about 25 and up. Trailers: I only remember Battleship and it got a pretty positive reaction, which I found odd. There were some smaller movies with trailers that I can't recall. The movie: I thought it was an extremely solid movie. Great build up of tension throughout, solid solid acting from Liam and I grew to care about his character. The climactic scene seemed to piss a lot of people off, but I felt it worked wonderfully for the movie. I can't honestly see a better ending than the one presented. I'm assuming that most low audience scores are attributed to the ending which I think is unfair. A

  11. Damn it! I missed yesterday's. Sucks. I like this show and it's the first time I've missed an episode.
  12. Can't think of anything else that opens up with IMAX...
  13. Why not? Just curious...I hope it does.
  14. Let's go Dragon!F U Devil Inside!
  15. True. But I can't help but get excited. I know the show won't likely live up to Scorsese's film, but it's Goodfellas and AMC. I am having difficulty not having high hopes for it.I mean.. look at my avatar.
  16. http://blogs.indiewire.com/thompsononhollywood/in-the-works-darabonts-l-a-noir-at-tnt-amc-moving-ahead-with-goodfellas-prequel-seriesI am excited for this as it's in AMC's hands. So there when it finally comes to fruition!
  17. Got it. Thanks for the schooling regarding your first statement. As for TDI plummeting, this should be interesting. I am wondering how low it'll finish. I'm hoping it cracks the top ten for most frontloaded pics if a list like that exists. The remake of Friday the 13th comes to mind. Huge opening like 40M and barely managed to get to 65M. Which I still don't understand.. I for one, thought it was a solid movie. But anyway, hoping this ends up doing worse relative to it's opening. As this movie has to be a million times worse than 2009's Friday the 13th.
  18. Is no increase on a Tuesday for TDI normal? I ask because it's a new release and was frontloaded, so is this normal or this the start of a downward spiral?
  19. Seems things have rebounded a bit. Not declaring box office slumps are no more, but these numbers are promising.
  20. Btw, that video was fucking hilarious. Except the cookie part.. Prior to that, damn this shit was funny.
  21. He very clearly said the trailer in his post. You're referencing the prologue. Most agree with you on the prologue BKB. I saw it in IMAX and couldn't understand a word. I also saw the trailer in theaters and could easily hear Bane's line w/o prior knowledge of what was being said. Give it a rest.
