Even accounting for taxes, BOI numbers always seem to be off compared to the numbers declared by the studios. They were way off on Avatar. They are way off on The Avengers also. The gross is $12.6M. That means the net was closer to $8.9M leading to Rs. 47 Crores. They are reporting around Rs. 38 crores total including all languages

Box Office India posts lower numbers for Hollywood movies. I think it is deliberate.

Decent movie. The pacing is very slow. While the movie has some really good moments, I felt bored at times. Score is average when it needed to be first rate. The lead actors are fine. Better than SM (2002). But that is not saying much. The parents' fate is left unexplained for some reason. The pacing and lack of genuine excitement really pulls the movie down. B

I agree that this movie is eons behind The Matrix. That was not only revolutionary, but it was a great fun movie to boot.

Great screenplay, fine direction and one of the best endings of all-time peppered with fine performances by the lead actors. A

Highly Overrated. While the visulas are fantastic, the plot is pathetic and it is ridiculous that the actors in the movie try to explain every setup. I found it to be pretentious and extremely boring. D

There is nothing to be confused about Prometheus like some people who love the movie proclaim. The script is just poorly constructed and the movie is an exercise in boredom. Contrast that to the last half hour of Alien and Aliens. They are fantastically thrilling just as much Prometheus is boring. Further, way too many scenes are laughable to consider Prometheus to be a deep movie aka thinking man's movie by anybody over the age of 5.
