  1. Do you know anything about the rest of the movie? This was just a little teaser for the Dreamworks/cutesy animals crowd in America. The Japanese and French trailers were more faithful to the actual tone of the film and from what tidbits I have been hearing, it sounds simply amazing.
  2. Hmm, I suspected as much. The slapstick in Brave was unbelievably unoriginal and boring.
  3. Cars 2, Brave and MU were all weaker than their predecessors not named Cars. Director change for TGD does not sound too encouraging either.
  4. In recent times, STiD and Rise of the Guardians definitely. I mean, WTF happened to Guardians? Solely weak marketing had to blame for making it come across as a bland, generic animated movie.
  5. When was Brenda Chapman bumped from Brave? What changes did her successor make? That should give us an idea of the affect a director change on such a film can make.
  6. Pixar's current curve reminds me SO MUCH of Disney Renaissance fall slowly starting from Pocahontas and ending with utter shit like Chicken Little and Home on the Range. Unlike Pixar though, Disney Animation actually looks like it is steadily rising again with Princess and the Frog, Tangled, Wreck-It-Ralph and now the epic looking Frozen and Big Hero 6 on the horizon!
  7. Sequel will probably be direct to DVD now.
  8. And my lady is Emma Stone! I wonder who is more crazy about her on these forums, me or Incarnadine!
  9. I wouldn't. It must be a dank, desolate and miserable corner of the universe where the magic and wonder of Emma Stone is not recognized.
  10. Is that good? Did KA have a Thursday midnight opening?
  11. Ok, we have official confirmation of the roster of characters as Don Hall revealed them at D23- http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=47240 Sounds WAY TOO COOL!
  12. Awesome. That roster seems to be the exact same as this one- From L-R in D23 pic: Pink silhouette is Honey Lemon (blonde girl), purple monster is Fred(the red dinosaur-ish monster), green silhouette is Wasabi No Ginger (sturdy dude crouching in the background), smaller purple silhouette is of Hiro, boy genius and the lumbering red one is of his robot Baymax, while the yellow one is Gogo Tomago (girl with gold visor and speedster powers). Seems like they have excluded Silver Samurai and Sunfire as those characters belong in the X-universe with Fox.
  13. Hmm true. In that case, I present to you the biggest breakout character of 2014- Work that electric blue fierceness to 700m OS, Jamie!
  14. That Wolverine number is atrocious. To finish below FC despite having the advantage of 3D and 2 years' worth inflated ticket prices is plain inexcusable.
  15. Raja Gosnell is the wholesome version of Michael Bay!
  16. Maybe they are just fans of the name "Logan". Or maybe it is people who bought Perks of Being a Wallflower DVD/Blu Ray and belatedly discovered how good that movie and Logan Lerman are!
  17. I was shocked at what a chore First Class proved to be to sit through the second time around. Especially since I went gaga for it the first time I watched it onscreen. Lol what horrible JLaw wastage. Doubt DoFP will be any different.
  18. Slightly better, yes. 90's X-Men, Spider-Man, and 00's Spectacular Spider-Man and Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes were all right up there with DC animated classics. And the reason DC fared so well in animation was because of the team of Timm, Dini and Romano. I have always been saying that WB hire Paul Dini has a story/character advisor to David Goyer, if not outright replace him. Dini knows these characters inside and out just like how Whedon knows his Avengers. Goyer doesn't. And that is proving to be increasingly harmful for all WB/DC films.
