  1. Or he may just be a big Catwoman fan. But then, many Burton fans think Returns > 89 anyway. Michelle Catwoman >>>>>>> Joker Jack.
  2. Laying down the truth At least Catwoman didn't buy too much of its own crap. This list brings out a surge of contradictory feelings in me. SMH for TDKR being #1, but for Batman Returns in Top 3.
  3. I do. But only so that TDKR vileness never holds any kind of record, making its fall into complete obscurity that much faster.
  4. Next summer: The plague, alien invaders with death rays, continental plates shifting, Mother Nature going apeshit crazy!
  5. I wish I could like Tele's titles for this thread. They have been out of this world.
  6. This. But since there are comparatively few big budget animated films released every year, many sites like IMDB and Mojo classify it as a "Genre" so as to avoid creating a "Medium" menu just for Live Action and Animation. Or to avoid putting live action and animation movies together in their respective genres. People still have this slight stigma towards animation and will always define an animated film as animated first and then its respective genre. They don't like their "grown-up" live action mixing with 'em "kiddie cartoons".
  7. It's okay though. Liefeld threw a hissyfit when Peter David made Shatterstar gay. And then Joe Quesada probably had the only awesome moment in his life when he said that if Liefeld had any problems with what Marvel decided to do with their characters, he could "take it up with the next editor-in-chief". Peter David pretty much made Shatterstar his own character after that and now he barely resembles his Liefeld days. However, what I did find incredibly dumb was making Longshot his clone AND father. Like make him either one, not both. Ugh.
  8. Claremont tends to overdo some aspects of characters and plots.. which is an understatement. Sometimes it works. Other times it gets old pretty damn fast. I did enjoy the Longshot/Dazzler coupling though. Hated the recent X-Factor reveal that he is a clone AND father of Shatterstar. Are you reading the new Longshot mini, AA? How is it?
  9. I posted this on the Frozen thread already but here it is again. For Mickey's 85th birthday today, Walt Disney Spain debuted a clip from "Get A Horse", the Mickey Mouse short that will be played before Frozen in theaters. "Get A Horse" will be a mix of traditional and CGI animation which features some unused footage including audio clips of Walt himself! Can't wait to see Classic Mickey, Minnie and friends on the big screen again, and for the first time in 3D!
  10. Yup. Into Darkness made that case this summer. The fact that Thor 2 increased shows that Avengers helped retain interest, if not increase it, for the Asgardian franchise. The X-Franchise OTOH wishes it had the same interest as its X2/X3/Origins heydays.
  11. Blankments, who's the character in your avatar and what's he from?
  12. THIS. It's not set in stone that sequels increase. SM2, HP2, IM2, AotC, Kung Fu Panda 2, Tokyo Drift, Expendables 2, Cars 2, Scooby Doo 2, Smurfs 2, Percy Jackson 2, INTO DARKNESS etc. etc. all say hi. The very fact that Thor 2 increased despite Thor making a decent amount shows there was Avengers/Loki effect at play, although not as much as some of us thought.
  13. Marvel NOW! is leagues better than the Crappy 52. And it is not the same thing. Marvel just relaunched their series with new #1s or new titles whereas DC rebooted its entire universe only for it to go to crap again in just 2 years time.
  14. Ugh, these movies have been matched up in such a way that either two films I like very much are competing against each other or two films I am meh about are with each other. Anyway, if this thing is still alive- Disney Region: #1 Toy Story #4 How to Train Your Dragon #3 Beauty and the Beast #2 The Incredibles DreamWorks Region: #1 Toy Story 2 #5 Coraline #6 Shrek 2 #2 Up Illumination Region: #1 Toy Story 3 #4 The Little Mermaid #3 The Nightmare Before Christmas #7 Wreck-it Ralph Blue Sky Region: #1 Finding Nemo #4 Aladdin #3 The Lion King #7 Lilo and Stitch
  15. Ok, Top Ten list as I am not the biggest fan of this genre and I guess I should not be ranking stuff like "I Know What You Did Last Summer" on here. 1. Psycho 2. The Exorcist 3. The Shining 4. A Nightmare on Elm Street 5. Scream 6. Scream 2 7. Let the Right One In 8. The Ring 9. Saw 10. Ju-On: The Grudge
  16. Solid Saturday number makes me think I was right in believing that American reviews made GA slightly weary of rushing out for TDW and decided to wait it out for early WOM.
  17. Seems right to me. Frozen, TWR and Ernest and Celestine are definite locks. Probably MU too as it is a non-Cars Pixar movie. So I guess it is between DM2 and The Croods for the last spot. Odds are in DM2's favor thanks to its BO performance, but actually it should be Croods which was a far better movie.
