What was the point of starting with Hi Barbie/Hi Ken when the song wasn't gonna follow suit?
Trailer is eh and weirdly doesn't even reveal as much as the far superior character posters that have already started a new meme trend on Twitter.
So far there have only been 3 DC films including The Batman during/post pandemic that didn't simultaneously come out on HBO Max.
WW84 would have been a commercial success any other time, though a 100x more frontloaded than the original film.
She always has an out with "I guess plans changed and Gunn won't admit it"
Honestly tho I don't completely trust Gunn either after that disingenuous tweet he made regarding how he's not the reason for his wife's character appearing in multiple DC films.
He just needs to stop reacting to ppl on Twitter. Soon he might end up like JK Rowling and start debating with a user named catturd.
These films are like oversized episodes of a never ending show anyway. I don't see the problem with hiring TV writers. What matters is which TV writers they are hiring.
Elordi needs to give excel a cut of his salary if he gets hired. But in all honestly, I don't see Gunn going for him (Snyder, maybe, but not Gunn)
Adam DiMarco, the grandson from The White Lotus: Sicily is my favorite fan casting so far.
It's such a coincidence. I was kinda hoping Tom Holland's SM4 would explore themes of anxiety and depression as Peter lost his last parental figure, is all alone, no one knows him AND he has to face the pressure of his first job (under a very toxic J Jonah Jameson?)
B&R - Camp masterpiece
SM3 - Hot mess but I've grown to enjoy it
2000s F4 - These films would have been universally praised if they had been part of the MCU. Like this is the fully baked template, especially for Phase 1!
TASM - The first movie is Certified Fresh on RT 😌
The first book had the incredible concept of children fighting each other to death for entertainment that was novel in 2012 for most of the world who weren't familiar with Battle Royale. You needed to have been there to experience the hype even months before the movie release.
The late 00s/early 10s were also a very different time when the YA/teen girl influence on the BO was at an all time high before the deluge of OTT platforms and the varied YA content that they offered became serious competition for YA theatrical films.
Comic book movie fans are getting their wishes granted in a real monkey's paw way as of late: Shazam vs Black Adam (in terms of who is the bigger flop, BTS drama and social media clownery), Marvel vs DC (in terms of BTS implosions and dropping movie qualities) and now MCU Big Bads Brolin vs Majors
Rege Jean Page getting praises again after Bridgerton. Another fail on the post-MCU Russos' part for somehow managing to sap all the charisma out of him in The Gray Man.
