  1. so selling less tickets than the last one...i guess the old school Trekkies gave the last movie a chance and didn't like what they saw and are not getting fooled again
  2. Nikki calling Beautiful Creatures a bomb now...lol.....and Warm Bodies showing some deserved legs ‘Die Hard 5′ And ‘Safe Haven’ $10M-$11M On Valentines Day; ‘Beautiful Creatures’ Bombs By NIKKI FINKE, Editor in Chief | Thursday February 14, 2013 @ 8:32pm PSTTags: A Good Day To Die Hard, Beautiful Creatures, Box Office, Safe Haven inShare0 THURSDAY 8:30 PM, 3RD UPDATE: My sources say Fox’s A Good Day To Die Hard around $10M-$11M and Relativity’s Safe Haven around $9M-$10M are still battling it out for Valentine’s Day supremacy. Universal’s holdover Identity Thief will be #3 with around $6M. Summit Entertainment/Lionsgate’s two week old Warm Bodies #4 with around $3M. And to complete the Top Five, Warner Bros’ Beautiful Creatures looks to open with a very disappointing $3M-$4M.
  3. great for IT very good for warm bodies considering the weather and decent for side effects
  4. Reacher has less than half the budget and marketing than K&D....so it is doing just fine
  5. Good for Jack Reacher...obviously wrong time of year to release This Is 40
  6. I'll believe it when it happens, I think it could happen after next Star Wars. They will try to tie it in somehow. Hard to believe they move forward on a franchise they merely broke even on. Not sure why Disney overspends so much....hopefully they stop spending 200m+ on unproven franchises
  7. Summer is over , TDKR is best quality wise, while Avengers wins Box Office wise, otherwise boring Summer
  8. Batman may struggle from here on out, Olympics may kill its legs worldwide
  9. I'm guessing the TDKR had no chance of breaking records before the tragic incident...maybe in would have done mid 180s tops...anyways the movie delivers,...should have legs...best Hollywood movie of summer
  10. this movie is hardly a failure unless it fails to to sniff 300m with 3d surcharges...280m+ should be a success
  11. presales mean little, trans3 had mediocre presales and did good enough domestically but not spectacular...if it can work as a family film also it doesn't matter, but if strictly a fanboy film, it matters
  12. if it performs like rise of the apes, 55m weekend should be the highend

  14. Transformers is in decline domestically just like the POTC franchise, but still big overseas. Based on rotten tomatoes the 2nd one rated higher than the 3rd, so it would probably decline again domestically
  15. Taylor Kitsch is officially box office poison....Good thing for the Dictator that SBC does well overseas like Rowan Atkinson

  17. very underwhelming for Dark Shadows...Disney might be getting nervous about Lone Ranger now
