Yeah he still gets work for sure, but many thought he wold become the next high profile black actor after his oscar and Iron man's success, but that didnt happen. Still very solid actor though.

They're connected but they work very well as standalone movies as well. A lot of people who saw the Avengers didnt see most of the Phase 1 movies, but it doesn't subtract from their enjoyment. IM3 and Thor 2 honestly work just fine on their own.

They release 2 movies a year. They just happen to attract a lot of attention. There is nothing wrong in terms of 'volume'

This news makes me want to punch someone in the face. 20 mins? really? WHen i first saw it, i thought maybe the film was like 2.5 hrs long or something but its only 126 mins. Thats the runtime for pretty much every action movie/thriller out there these days. Ugh

It was the first time i ever saw an audience applaud a trailer in a theatre. I knew right there this shit would make a billion dollars...lol.

PR literally had nothing going for it in terms of attracting the GA. The trailers weren't impressive. They showed lumbering giant robots punching big ugly monsters in nighttime scenes. They didnt emphasize the human relationships, emotions or humor to bring in females/family They didnt have a recognizable actor or director with crossover appeal. There were no money shots that would make people go "whoa i need to see that". Robots vs monsters is a very nich concept with a small fanbase, and WB did a terrible job with marketing. Say what you want about Transformers but those guys did a masterful job advertising those movies. They put the cool cars, the hot girl, the funny lines, the epic scale and the sam-bumblebee relationship at the forefront. And plus they had a notorious director at the helm. its fine to not care for it. Bringing it up and constantly making snide remarks about it is hating. There are many films released this year that i don't care about, so i don't talk much about them. I make my opinion about it and move on. i don't keep sniping at them every opportunity i get. Of course box office doesn't relate to quality, and there's nothing empirical out there that you can point to that says IM3 is not at least a good movie.
