AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR | 1369.5 M overseas ● 2048.4 M worldwide
Sam replied to kayumanggi's topic in International Box Office
Look at you already disprove my proven scientific method But yeah, I agree. I was thinking at least 40M+ but then that’s such a great number, especially a great drop from Sunday that I kinda hesitated lol. -

Already $4M just from SK. So I’m gonna extrapolate off that with my very proven scientific formula (don’t ask, I don’t share) and guesstimate Monday to be around 35M -
Then express yourself better (you seem capable of it) instead of throwing bullshit insults and accusations disguised through some moral high ground at people who don’t agree or even people who just states their doubt about these “news” Like I said, your earlier post that I quoted is bull and you know it.

Remain to be seen later on, but I think this movie definitely has the “you gotta see it to believe it” factor like some mentioned yesterday. Since Saturday, I already have like 3 of my friends asking me what’s the deal with Infinity War that cause people to go all crazy and cryptic on Snapchat/Instagram lol. Curiosity factor could help with the 2nd weekend drop, especially when there’s basically nothing else new out right now.

I watched it in regular 2D the first time. The second time was IMAX, and that was definitely better. Top 5 MCU for sure. I probably need further viewings to settle my rankings. You know that I’m through and through an Avengers-biased gal though, so my opinion might got skewed a bit lol. But I thought they really did justice to the story considering the scope and amount of characters as well as enormous burden from anticipation. Thanos was incredibly well done, from CGI to character himself. The actions were great and I personally think the humor in this is awesome, on par with the first Avengers. Emotional beats were also handled well. I honestly would say second viewing is a must for this cause it seems like there’s a lot to take in after first viewing. Can’t wait for you to finally watch it and join in on the discussions with us 😊

Gotta thank @Goffe for this amazing results in Brazil. I’m pretty sure he must have watched IW at least twice on OW for Brazil to pull in numbers like this tbh.
-
Yeah, and direct comparisons with Ultron or Civil War not gonna work as Labor Day holidays fall on weekend for both of them instead of Tuesday for IW. IW really got the best possible release dates. It already pulled in gigantic numbers for OW, and the holiday on weekdays gonna add even more icing on that cake.

This has been an issue since Battleship Island. Actually, it caused a scandal that affected its run (but not more than what the movie quality itself did). However, I think the issue with Battleship Island are more on the side of dishonesty and BTS dealings from distributors that lead to other movies released that same weekend to be pushed to not just less screens, but also ungodly showtimes. Gonna need confirmations from our local friends here, but I don’t think IW has that type of problems. Don’t think it will affect IW that much beyond prompting the government to push forward with time and effort for the anti-monopoly laws concerning theaters/screens/showtimes etc...
