Gladiator adjusted gross is up to 310M now by the way -
Some milestones passed this weekend - Wonder 100M - Thor Ragnarok 300M - Coco (every weekend it doesn’t gross in the negative is a milestone itself). Okay, I kid (maybe). Coco passed $100M in China this weekend. With ease and plenty left in the tank too.

Lower Friday figure for Coco compare to Moana’s third Friday, but they project a higher weekend. Deadline must take into account its 2 incredible past Sunday drops. Solid holds across the board. Good for Disaster Artist. Just Getting Started, lol.

I loved Pratt in GOTG1. That’s about it. Unlikable in Passengers and JW. Tried too hard in Magnificent Seven. Serviceable in GOTG2. And I don’t care for Lego Movie so.

Even with a 30% drop this weekend, it’s not going near 3.8M next weekend. You’re asking for a -45% drop with big TC loss in face of a 200M+ opener, that’s just not feasible. I see more around 6.4M this weekend and closer to 3M next week.

The realease slate for that month just looks sad. Black Panther could really benefit for a good run into March if they played their cards right. April doesn’t look any better. Maybe RPO coming at the end of March can take advantage and do ok.

Saw the trailer for this at DH2 showing a week ago or so. It looks okay. Not my type of movie but I’ll see it for Hugh if it got decent enough reviews. Got a chuckle out of that “From La La Land lyricists” or whatever the likes though.

I think it’ll be a close race both Dom and WW between FK and IW. Dom both will fall in the mid-high 400M OS maybe FK will have the advantage as JW did more than TA/Ultron and sequels tend to increase OS. But then Infinity War has a wide open schedule with a month to itself, while Fallen Kingdom has some potentially tough competitions. OS probably gonna come down to China.

I did too cause I sadly got out-voted by my girls group. It was shit. I cringed through the whole thing. It was bad, and awkward as hell. The only good thing was I didn’t have to pay for the ticket.

I noticed the lack of big hitters this year compare to other years. Taxi Driver did very well. Confidential Assignment got good legs, a few others here and there also did okay. I’m gonna blame Battleship Island lol. That one should have done way better than what it ended up.
