Having not yet seen The Hobbit, I cannot venture to answer this question. That said, Deathly Hallows Part I is my favorite film in what is my favorite film franchise, so I'm thinking it would be very very hard for Hobbit to top that.

I don't understand how people say DH1 is divisive. It received strong WOM from both the diehards and casual fans. The divisive one was HBP.

TH1 for me, it may not be great but it didn't try to be anything more than light hearted fun. DH1 was just boring IMO.
