It depends largely on the execs, and increasingly, they're no longer "film guys" who come from production and who love films; they're business guys who come out of Harvard or Yale with MBAs and neither know much about movies or movie history, nor care to learn. For them, it's the sheer bottom line... and you can't qualify "genius" or "talent" with a numeric value.

Bean counters.

QoS isn't that bad it's the least of the Craig ones. But it's better than anything Moore or Bronsan did except for the Spy Who Loved Me and Goldeneye respectively. Heck it's better than Diamonds are Forever

Wonder Woman done right could be huger than MoS. If done correctly with the right sense of the potential of the character, if they give her a treatment that shows how epic and bad ass she can be, it could easily make more even than MoS. She is basically a female Kratos with a much better and rich mythology.

It definitively couldn't be bigger than MoS, and they definitely wouldn't be expecting anywhere near that anyway.

It definitely could. Greek Gods meet Game of Thrones-esque power struggles and war scenarios set in the modern day? Would leave MoS in the dust. But yeah, they wouldn't be expecting MoS level of success. But the chance to break out like crazy is really there. If Katniss and the Hunger Games can break out, so can WW. Especially since she has the "Most famous woman in comics and first superheroine ever!!" shtick going for her. As we were discussing in the MoS thread, a WW movie could make back half of its budget through tie-ins with female targeted products and services alone! Taking that into consideration, it could be one of the most profitable superhero movies ever made!
