So you think Pets will be number 1 of the year in your country :redcapes:

No... well... uhh..... ugh. I'm sticking to my guns here. I only know Minions was a freak of nature last year, and non-Disney animations are always big, so I can't see anything else that would actually challenge it. I feel that the only other things that could take it off the #1 position are Ice Age 5 or Rogue One, if anything. I don't follow our box office weekly, you know, I have no idea what's the #1 film of the year so far even, is it BVS:ph34r: #DisgraceToPortugal

Oh really? We Portuguese aren't so dumb after all :jeb!:

Still, I feel that Pets could genuinely move people around here big time. Especially if marketing is as in your face as it seems to be everywhere else. And hey, if you're banking on it, I won't give you much to debate about, since you're clearly more in touch with our box office than me :P. Although, again, I see Ice Age 5 potentially sweeping it, so... I'm still on the edge about taking the bet .

How was I supposed to know that?

Well I thought the bets looked too good to be true, so I searched for some form of trickery.

I ended up highlighting what was put in spoiler tags.

Boom! I see CJohn's Portuguese shenanigans.

And how many people went to see O Leão da Estrela, again?

Then again, A Canção isn't being directed by that shitcock Leonel Vieira (or at least I've heard it wasn't), so maybe it has a chance at being anything better than the rat's ass O Pátio was.

A friend of mine that hates Pátio and Leão liked it a lot and recommended me to see it.

I don't think we need to bring up how many people went to see O Leão da Estrela  The release date was in a different time of the year, A Canção de Lisboa comes out right in the heart of the Summer, like O Pátio das Cantigas :ph34r::ph34r::ph34r:

But again, don't forget people still have that bad taste of Vieira in their mouths from Leão and Pátio (I mean... regardless of time period, Leão's box office compared to Pátio's...), so maybe, they'll be reticent about another one of these. Plus, at the end of the day, O Pátio, which is the most well known of the trio and long before people were aware of how bad it actually was, still couldn't take the #1 film of the year in general mantle, since Minions did. So I think we might as well just count out the Tugas for now

Pátio was 3rd last year, it would have easily won the year if it was released this month

Leão da Estrela was seen by around 195000 people in theaters :sadben:
