Amazing acting from all the ladies. Especially Jessica Chastain who turns that typical "Blonde bimbo" role into a great three dimensional character. I must admit that there was a scene in there that made me cry as well.It does have flaws though, the biggest one for me was the "shit pie" thing. That..... felt like it came out of a completely different movie.

When I first heard of this I thought it was a horror movie like The Uninvited, The Unborn, etc. Same for The Descendants

Something I hadn't noticed before is that it's a film almost entirely about women, none of the male characters are really of any consequence. It's like the ultimate girl power film.A

It has flaws, but I love it. The movie I enjoyed most in 2011. Great acting from all the actresses, especially my girl Jessica Chastain :wub:A+ from me.

It's a fine film if you can get past the simplistic script and stereotyped characters. The cast do their best to make the characters feel real despite lackluster writting, the movie best moments are when they succeed at it. Viola Davis performance is phenomenal.  55/100
