So how's KGF 2? Baahubali and RRR were amazing, Saaho and 2.0, not so much. I'm interested, but I'm cautious whenever there's a mega opening movie like this.

I've already missed my chance to see KGF2, it was on for 2 days at my cinema, then dropped in favour of keeping Beast and the other new English language releases

I think if India can maintain ticket price &ER with films like RRR &KGF. Market will be equivalent of China. 

 

But, Screens are far less than China (~85,000) [India Scs = ~9000]. Need more premiums formats + Screen expansion to become "New China"

This need India government focus on improving people's quality of life,I'm not mean to offend India friend in this thread but actually in Chinese website our media always report some bad side of India so most of us think India people's quality of life is not very well,if they can change this circumstance,then India market will even far bigger than Japan,by all means this is the market which have 1.4B people

Japan will slowly fall, with population index speaking out a lot. An rural locations are also falling. Recent example is 2022 Conan film where outside Usual Locations, numbers are very poor. Well, Japan need a door-to-door WOM for big milestone in coming years...

 

India does have a great potential. But, need two big things to maintain: Piracy and SCs expansion... More than that, people need to enjoy Films more on Screens than OTT and so and so.... Also need strong films that can build WOM. Now, Let see how upcoming local films perform here...

And unlike chinese movies which generally sell nothing outside of china, India movies have quite a substantial share of overseas gross like Japanese or some Korean hit
