The bigger the Friday, the bigger the Saturday drop I imagine.

Yep-now how frontloaded will part 3 be?

Going off of the PA sequels and the Saw sequels, this was will probably barley have a 2 multiplier.

Depends on how well liked it is.

Most of the recent horror films are considered to be terrible, hence why they drop a lot from Friday to Saturday and why the Conjuring didn't.

Conjuring is a bit different-it was not during the typical horror season, it was in the Summer.

From reading the reviews it doesn't seem that it'll be well-liked.

Guessing a 40% drop-9M Saturday.

Damn, with that it will barely scrape 30 million (if 15 holds)

Having said that, as I mentioned in Thursday #s ... felt 25-30 was good # and more likely.  40+ seemed kind of nuts for September.

That's a prediction, not the actual result you know.

Probably better then what Nikki would of said. She probably have "Insidious 2 is doing amazing with a 25M-35M Friday!"

(Though in some cases she is too low, but that tends to be with kids films IE when the kids are in school, or with older audience films when they are at work)

Critics don't dictate moviegoers opinion.

Good god, can we have a moratorium on these sorts of comments? We ALL know that, brother, but when review after review says it's not scary, there's a good chance a lot of other people are going to feel the same way.
